Feeling Blue?

Hiya, I am definitely feeling blue tonight...we have got more snow falling!! I am so fed up with it, hope it doesnt come to much and has gone by the morning. We still have a bit of snow still lying thats not melted from the last time.
Tonight i am entering this card into a lot of challenges so i will just list and link them all at the end.
The sketch i followed is from the Unscripted Sketches Challenge Blog. The challenge was "2010 Review" in which you are to choose a past sketch from the list. I picked this one......
My Tilda is coloured in used Promarkers, i love the sitting Tildas, they just look so cute sitting there with legs dangling! I have added glossy Accents and glitter to parts of her dress and bow. My roses were out my stash and i added the twine and leaves to them and added glitter. The paper I used in the background is a glittery one from the "Slice" paper pack. I really like the papers i got in that pack. I usually find i only like a some of the papers out a pack and then the rest get left to gather dust but i will use all the papers in this one!
My metal brad is one i have had for a long long time..i bought it on my very first craft supplies shopping spree but forgot all about it until i cleaned my drawer out! I did put a new brad in the centre of it as it had a white one in it and it didnt go with my cream card! My butterfly is punched from Vellum and rubbed to shape it slightly. My sentiment is cut from my Wild Card Cricut Cartridge and again coated with Glossy Accents and Glitter.

Here is the challenges i am entering into tonight...

Bag of Gold!

Hi, Another horrible day today here, its been raining most of the day. I think the snow is not far behind!
Anyway here is todays creation! I decided to make a gift bag which fits in with the challenge at Die Cut Dreams Challenge Blog where they are looking for anything BUT a card. The Totally Tilda Challenge is where my colour scheme came from, they are looking for Glitz and Gold creations for this challenge. I found some lovely gold mirror card that has a mat finish in my paper drawers and it was perfect for embossing. I embossed the gold layer with my floral embossing folder and cuttlebug and layered it onto brown cardstock. I used my Martha Stewart deep edge punch and gold ric-rac on the brown layer and added a gold heart button. I coloured Tilda in using Promarkers but i never had a gold Promarker to hand so i had to use Mustard instead. I think it looks ok!!
The flowers i made from scratch. What i do is take a scallop circle and cut the scallop edge off. I have added a few pictures below to explain! Once i have the scalloped strip i gently curl each scallop to give them the petal shape. I then wrap the strip tightly around a quilling tool  and let it relax just a little until you get the size and shape you would like then use a dab of glue on the end to keep it from uncurling. To finish it off just pull some of the "petals" gently into shape until you are happy with it. I got this idea from the new x -cut quilling  flowers dies that are out and just love to make my own flowers.
(Cut the scallop edge off )

( Using a quilling tool wrap tightly then let it relax very slightly and glue)

(Once glue is dry pull the "petals" into shape for finished effect)

Sorry its such a long post tonight! As always here is the list of the challenge blogs i am entering.

Halloween's Coming!

Here is my Halloween treat bag that i made today. I thought i had a Halloween Tilda stamp in my collection but i couldnt find it so i had to just used this one and coloured her in with Promarkers and used colours to suit the theme. I made the bag from a cut from my Cricut Plantin Schoolbook Cartridge. Its a lovely shape, just that bit different. The sentiment was cut from my Wild Card Cart aswell as the bats. I used a touch of glossy accents on the bats and sprinkle with glamour dust. This was such a easy make and my daughter just loved it! She has took it already and has a few sweets in the bottom!
There are a few challenges this week with the Halloween theme so i here are the blogs that i am playing along with;

Traditional Tilda!

This is my latest attempt at playing along with some challenges! The Challenge over at Crafty Emmas Store Challenge is to create a tag, the tag shape is cut from my Cricut Plantin Schoolbook. The papers are from a Papermania pack that i bought recently and the white mat was embossed through my Cuttlebug with the snowflakes folder. The colour scheme fits with the Totally Tilda challenge which is traditional Xmas green and red. I coloured Tilda in using my Promarkers and used glossy accents and glitter to sparkle her up a bit.  Over at Papertake Weekly the challenge is 3 of a kind so i have used 3 gems on each layer to finish the tag off. My sentiment was cut from my Cricut Wild Card Cartridge. I have also played along with A Spoonful Of Sugar challenge which is Winter Wonderland.

Here is a list of the challenge blogs that i have entered!

Sparkling Tilda!

Hi, Its good to be back online! I was on holiday for a long weekend and when i got back my internet was down, anyway sorted now and can now get stuck into some of the great challenges that are about this week.
For this card i used a layout i used before for a challenge and loves it, so simple! The colour theme matched 2 different challenges, Stampin Bs and Fab n funky. I am not a fan of black white and red but i actually think it has turned out ok! The image of Tilda is coloured with promarkers and i have used glossy accents and glamour dust to sparkle her outfit up. The swirls were from a sizzix die i have had for ages, it actually is a flower with a swirl stem but i have cut off the flowers head and jut used the swirls. Again i have used glossy accents and glamour dust to sparkle. I added some pearls to the swirls.
As you can see from the picture below i have made the top layer so it opens up to show the hidden a tag inside. I used a brad to hold it shut by just catching the edge of the card stock under the side of the brad.

Here is the link to the challenges i have played along with this week.

Gift Boxed Tilda!

This was made initially just for fun as i have this gift box cut on one of my Cricut cartridges and wanted to try it out but half way through the Totally Tilda challenge was posted and it was to use handmade flowers on a project. The flower i made from scratch by cutting out love hearts and curling the edges, cutting the bottoms off so the flower doesn't sit too far out and then attaching them one by one to create the finished flower. As most of you probably know i do this all the time and love the finished effect. I usually make them a lot smaller so i made this one a lot bigger and more open than my usual. I finished off with covering in Glossy Accents and then a sprinkle of Martha Stewart white glitter and a little gem in the middle. The leaves were cut from the Cricut Storybook Cartridge. The image is coloured using pro-markers. I ran the box through my Cuttlebug before assembling and added a blue liner to the inside.

Tilda in Lilac and Lace!

Just a quick post today to show my latest card that i have put together for some challenges. The challenge over at Totally Tilda is "Lilac and Lace" and the Just magnolia special monthly challenge is "Anything Goes".
I used my Jam Tilda stamp and coloured her with Promarkers. The paper is from Best Creation. This paper is lovely because it is very slightly embossed and full of glitter so i am playing along with the challenge at Craft Your Days Away which is "Girly n Glitter". I just cant resist a really girly card!  I embossed the circle with my cuttlebug folder and the swirls are cut from a sizzix die i have. The flowers i made myself from scratch. I love making them, then covering the petals in Glossy Accents and MS white glitter. The other challenge i am playing along with is Stamping B's. The theme is to use a charm so i used a little butterfly one.
The sentiment i used is just from ym stash, i think it may be a Forever Friends sentiment but not totally sure!
The lace, ribbon and gems are from my stash and just finish the card of nicely.

Heres the links to the challenge blogs i played along with today,

Thanks for looking and hope you had a great weekend!

Stitched up!!

Here is the latest creation! I have seen lots of these on a many blogs and i just love them. As i was half way through the stitching i checked the Totally Tilda blog and the new challenge is "Stitching". Maybe it was crafters intuition...but lets face it, it was probably just a bit of luck!

The paper i have used has a story behind it, its actually wallpaper! ssshh...I couldnt resist taking a sample when i seen it on the shelf in our local DIY store! I read a long time ago about a crafter who always collects wallpapers and pain charts etc to use on her cards but i wasnt really sure if the wallpaper would do the job! Well it certainly did! It was really expensive designer stuff, £49.99 a roll so it was really thick and the flocking is lovely. The picture doesnt do it justice! I only took a little bit so thats it used!
The flower is one i made myself. I cut hearts out on my Cricut and curled the edges over and arranged one overlapping the next. Turned out great. I covered the flower in Glossy accents and some MS glitter to give it the "wet" look.
The swirls are cut from my cricut story book cartridge onto silver paper. The stitching is also silver thread, again the photo doesnt show it up well.

My Tilda image is coloured in with promarkers. I used all my "Cool Grey" shades to give it a black and white effect. That is my first try of that so could have been better! I added a few gems to add some bling!
The challenge at Creative Card Crew is "Sparkle and Shine" so i have entered into that with my shiny flower and sparkling gems!

Another Round One!

Hi There,
Well that me back from my latest travels in the caravan. Had such a relaxing time, we didnt want to come home. In fact we had such a lovely time and the site so was nice we booked for the long weekend in September.
Here is another card which i will enter into a few challenges. For the Totally Tilda Challenge the theme is "shaped cards" so i used the Scallop circle card which i cut on my Cricut and this time i cut my Tilda out and coloured with Promarkers. The paper i used is Bo Bunny. I decided to thread my ribbon and ruffled it for a wee change. I used Buttons and a bow to fit with Crafty Catz challenge. I used the word from the Aud Sentiments Challenge which is "relax" for the sentiment. I am also going to enter the card into the Creative Card Crew challenge as their theme is "Cute and Girly". I think this card fits the bill, nothing more girly than pink and bling! To add the bling i used my clear gems. The flower is cut with my Cuttlebug die and machine and the swirls from my Cricut Story book cartridge.
Hope the cards fits with all the challenges i have entered it into!

Mojo is back!!

Hi, Well been busy today..no, not housework .. Just crafting! I decided to enter a few challenges with one card again. As much as Chocolate brown is just not my favourite colour,  it worked out better than i thought it would!! The Chocolate colour theme and Tilda stamp was for the Totally Tilda challenge. The sketch i followed is from Papertake Weekly challenge, like this sketch! I am also going to enter my card into the Creative Inspirations challenge and The stamp Man Challenge as they have let loose and the theme is "Anything Goes" for both! The spotty paper is from "The big one" by Clare Curd which i have had in my stash since it was released and still not even nearly finished it all! I embossed the white layer with my Cuttlebug floral folder. The flowers were cut from my Cricut using the Plantin Schoolbook cart and the leaves are from the Story book cart. I used some gems and ribbon from my stash to finish it off.
Here is the challenges i have entered my card into!
