Crafty Calender challenge - Things with Wings!

Good afternoon. Sorry i am running a bit late with my post today but its been one of those mornings!

Today is the start of a new challenge at Crafty Calender. Laura has chosen the theme this month and decided on......Things with Wings!!

This month we are sponsored by Whimsy Stamps and as well as the fab prize of 5 images they also donated images for the DT to use so a big thanks to Whimsy Stamps for their sponsorship!

For my card i used "Mary the Magnolia Fairy" which you can by from Whimsy Stamps here. I really like this image. Its one you can use for all occasions. She was coloured with promarkers and her wings were glazed with Crackle Accents. The small cracks in the gloss looks like the veins in wings!
My papers are out my scrap box of papers which is getting out of control and why must use some up! The blue and pink floral one is Wild Rose Studio. Flowers and seam binding from WOC and charm, gems and butterfly from my stash.

I hope you find time to pop over to the Crafty Calender Challenge to check out more inspiration from the rest of the design team.

I would also like to enter the following challenges;

Charisma Cardz - something that flies
A spoonful of Sugar - Flower Power
I love Promarkers - Sparkly Bling
Truly Scrumptious - Summer Sparkle
My mums Craft Shop Challenge - Things with Wings

Have a lovely weekend!

What a Week!

Hi, well i have had the busiest week! The boys were off school with a bug and Ryan, the oldest, ended up with a chest infection. Carrie, my six year old has had a few hospital appointments this week because she is going in tomorrow for a operation. She has Auto Immune Liver Disease, this is where her own immune systems attacks her liver so she is going for another Liver Biopsy to see how her liver is doing She is also having grommets put back in for her hearing and her adenoid taken out again. They were taken out a few years back but her immune suppressant medication has caused them to grow back!! Strange but thats the theory! I am not looking forward to the the operation but it has to be done and better that they do it all at one time instead of two different operations which was the first plan!

Anyway here is my card for the Lili of the Valley Challenge. Great sketch as usual! I am running so late with this, i have 1 hour to get this posted!! I coloured my image with my promarkers. I love this image, so far one of my favourites. I have a feeling when i get my new stamps i might have a new favourite!
The sentiment is from my cricut wild card cart and onto a punched tag. The papers are ones i have had for so long that i cant remember. I think they are maybe DCWV ones but not sure!
The flower is again, homemade and inked with a pink ink pad. The gems and ribbon are from my stash.

I am entering into these challenges;
http://ilovepromarkers.blogspot.com/ - Punches (i punched the scalloped border and tag also got diecuts on the card)

Thanks for visiting and will be back online at the weekend. I will be staying in the hospital with Carrie overnight. Away to pack our bags!

Take Care

Red and White Christmas!

 Hi, We gad a massive amount of snow fall yesterday here. As most of you seen on the news the roads were gridlocked and it was total chaos! The schools were just back yesterday after being closed all last week due to the weather. By lunch time yesterday the roads were getting so bad we were worried about getting the kids home. We stay in a small village right in the middle of Edinburgh and Glasgow and my oldest travels to school by bus so I had to arrange for him to be picked up. My other two kids are at the village primary which also closed early yesterday. All schools now closed again today and waiting to hear about the rest of week. Its not fun anymore and its so deep its causing real problems. Our telephone lines were down yesterday, trees falling and i have seen a few hut and garage roofs collapsing!

Anyway enough about the snow! Here my card for the day. I am going to just list and link the challenges i am entering at the bottom of the post this time as i am in a bit of a hurry.  I have had this Forever Friends stamp for years and never used it.  He is coloured with Promarkers and kept it really simple to fit with the monochrome challenges and a few that are looking for red and white.  The sketch i used is from the Crazy 4 challenge blog. I have used one of my red and white flowers that i found in the bottom of my stash last week and the sentiment was one i had left in my xmas stash from last year too.

Heres the list/links of challenges i am entering with this card;

Thanks for looking and hope you have all had a good day in the snow!

White Christmas!

Hi, Another late night! Today we had our first flutter of snow. It never came to anything but it definitely did snow! My card for tonight is all about snow! The Crafty Calender Challenge this month is "Winter Snowflakes and Crafts and Me Challenge is "Dreaming of a White Xmas". The card is a step card as you can see and i have used my snowflakes embossing folder to emboss the 2 layers on the base card. The image i have used it from LOTV and i just love it! I have coloured it in with my Promarkers. I have left most of it white obviously and used my grey shades to give shadows etc but you can hardly see it on the picture. The snowflakes are from my Cricut Potpouri cartridge and i have layered them up 3 times and used 3d foam pads to add depth. The charm, ribbon and pins just finish the card off and i added a little glitter to the smallest snowflakes. I have entered the Tip Top Tuesday challenge, they are looking for "Layer upon Layer"so this card fits in with that. There are a couple of "Anything Goes" challenges which i have entered and i will add the links to them below.

Traditional Tilda!

This is my latest attempt at playing along with some challenges! The Challenge over at Crafty Emmas Store Challenge is to create a tag, the tag shape is cut from my Cricut Plantin Schoolbook. The papers are from a Papermania pack that i bought recently and the white mat was embossed through my Cuttlebug with the snowflakes folder. The colour scheme fits with the Totally Tilda challenge which is traditional Xmas green and red. I coloured Tilda in using my Promarkers and used glossy accents and glitter to sparkle her up a bit.  Over at Papertake Weekly the challenge is 3 of a kind so i have used 3 gems on each layer to finish the tag off. My sentiment was cut from my Cricut Wild Card Cartridge. I have also played along with A Spoonful Of Sugar challenge which is Winter Wonderland.

Here is a list of the challenge blogs that i have entered!

Animal Crackers!

This is a card i made tonight for a few different challenges. The challenge at Creative Inspirations was to create a card thats anything other than a square or rectangle so i made this scalloped circle card. I cut the card base using my Cricut wild card cartridge as well as the 2 circle layers. The paper is from Bo Bunny. I really like pink and brown at the moment. The image of the rabbit is a LOTV stamp. It is meant to have a balloon in his hand but i just wanted the rabbit this time! The rabbit image fits with Pear Tree Designs challenge and also A Spoonful of Sugar challenge where animals is the theme for both. Passion for Promarkers challenge is "Sweet Treat" so the little cup cake is a perfect treat for that challenge! The flowers are punched and layered and finished with pearls. The challenge at CES is "Floral Frenzy" so the flowers and the floral paper fit with it great. This will be my first time entering at CES, its just a new challenge blog and looks great! I wanted to do something different with the ribbon on this card so i pleated it along the length of the card and put a bow at the side of the image and embellished with a couple of pins. I have also played along with the challenge over at Die Cut Dreams where they are looking for Pearls and Pins. I was going to add a sentiment to the card but i decided to leave it blank for now until i have a use for it!

Heres the links to the challenges i entered;

Thanks for having a look and have a good night! (Well its now actually morning!)
