Traditional Tilda!

This is my latest attempt at playing along with some challenges! The Challenge over at Crafty Emmas Store Challenge is to create a tag, the tag shape is cut from my Cricut Plantin Schoolbook. The papers are from a Papermania pack that i bought recently and the white mat was embossed through my Cuttlebug with the snowflakes folder. The colour scheme fits with the Totally Tilda challenge which is traditional Xmas green and red. I coloured Tilda in using my Promarkers and used glossy accents and glitter to sparkle her up a bit.  Over at Papertake Weekly the challenge is 3 of a kind so i have used 3 gems on each layer to finish the tag off. My sentiment was cut from my Cricut Wild Card Cartridge. I have also played along with A Spoonful Of Sugar challenge which is Winter Wonderland.

Here is a list of the challenge blogs that i have entered!

One For The Guys!

Its been a week or so since my last card, well for on here anyway. I had a few orders for friends and family to get done. This happens to be one of them but i used the sketch for the Mojo Monday Challenge. The blue paper has been run through my cuttle bug with the swiss dots folder. The sentiment was cut from my Wild Card Cricut Cartridge and the "80" from the  Plantin Schoolbook. The charm is a tiny little trowel garden tool, you cant go wrong with something like that can you!! I added some silver card candy to finish it off. I am also entering the card into The Corrosive Challenge who are looking for "One for the Guys". I really find masculine cards hard to make so i tend to keep it very simple as you can see!!

Here are links to the two challenges i have entered;

Winter Wonderland - Tag it!

Well, 2 posts in one day, thats not usual! As i was having a look around my blog list i noticed that Winter Wonderlands new challenge is to make a Christmas tag. I couldnt resist so the ironing pile has been dumped back into the cupboard and out came the craft mat! If i keep doing that we will actually have nothing to wear!
Tags is something i never have really been into so i kept it quite simple. I cut the tag using my Cricut with the Plantin schoolbook cartridge. The "Merry Christmas" was cut using my Cricut wild card cartridge and the snowflake from the potpourri basket cartridge. I embossed the white top layer with the cuttlebug snowflakes folder. The sentiment and snowflake are coated with Glossy Accents and MS glitter, i use these two products all the time, couldnt do without them! I layered up the snowflake to add some depth. The little charm was given to me from my friend and it is actually from last years Christmas crackers!! As my kids keep telling me.. Re-use and Recycle! It is also just made from scraps of cardstock that i keep. I hate to waste anything these days! The challenge at Creative Inspirations is "recycle" so will enter into that challenge too!

I was about to say goodnight but its officially good morning now, fingers crossed i sleep tonight!

Mojo is back!!

Hi, Well been busy today..no, not housework .. Just crafting! I decided to enter a few challenges with one card again. As much as Chocolate brown is just not my favourite colour,  it worked out better than i thought it would!! The Chocolate colour theme and Tilda stamp was for the Totally Tilda challenge. The sketch i followed is from Papertake Weekly challenge, like this sketch! I am also going to enter my card into the Creative Inspirations challenge and The stamp Man Challenge as they have let loose and the theme is "Anything Goes" for both! The spotty paper is from "The big one" by Clare Curd which i have had in my stash since it was released and still not even nearly finished it all! I embossed the white layer with my Cuttlebug floral folder. The flowers were cut from my Cricut using the Plantin Schoolbook cart and the leaves are from the Story book cart. I used some gems and ribbon from my stash to finish it off.
Here is the challenges i have entered my card into!

Birthday Card (Cricut)

Here is the Birthday card i was asked to make for someone. I used my Cricut Plantin schoolbook cart for the numbers. I really love the shadow function on a lot of the carts, it really just finishes of the image. i used my Cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder for the front panel and black and silver card that i found among my papers. The black gems and black ribbon are great for masculine cards because they dont look to bling or girly!

Inside the card i cut the Happy Birthday sentiment using my Wild Card Cart and swirl from Storybook. The scallop borders were made from my Fiskars border punch. Again i have finished off the numbers and the swirl by using Glossy Accents and sprinkling with Martha Stewart glitters.

Another easel card! (cricut)

Well the last few days have been so busy. I have been shopping for all the rest of our holiday bits and pieces. I did of course have to add to my stash while at the shops and have also had to buy more and more storage boxes for it all..not sure where its all came from!
This card is one i was asked to make for someone. I have used my wild card cartridge for the sentiment, storybook and my nesties for the scallop circle and marquee shape. The square panel behind is embossed using the cuttlebug swiss dots folder.  I made the flowers using my plantin schoolbook and border was cut using my fiskers threading scallop punch. The swrils are a sizzix die i found in my drawer of tricks!I used some lovely pearls and ribbon and a butterfly charm from my stash to finish it off and of course my old faithful Glossy Accents to bling bits of it up! I really like making easel cards at the moment...good for quick makes and something different!
I have a few fathers day cards to make and a male birthday card on order for friends so will need to get these made tomorrow then i will get back into doing some challenges!

Have a good day!
