Elphine House Australia Challenge - Christmas with a twist!

Hi,  Hope you are having a great week. Today my oldest Son, Ryan, is 15 years old! I cannot believe how fast the years go by. I remember the day he was born so clear and it doesnt seem like 15 years ago, thats for sure!
We have had really cold and frosty weather here in Scotland this week. I have been getting ready for Christmas the past few days so got most of the gifts bought but just when i think that we are nearly finished we remember something else!

Anyway i am here with the new challenge details for Elphine House Australia.
Our challenge for the next 2 weeks is....
Christmas with a twist - The twist is no traditional colours!

To join in the challenge you have to use a Elisabeth Bell stamp from any company. There are lots of Elisabeth Bell images out there so let us see your creations!
Here is mine!
I have used one of the newest EHA stamps that have been released for Christmas. Some of you who are Elisabeth Bell fans will recognise this stamp as she was released a long time ago and its great to see her get a new lease of life!
She is called Ebony Christmas Snowflakes! She was fab to colour, i used both Flexmarkers and Promarkers.

Here is another few photos...

I am going to enter my card into a few other challenges...

Well thats me for today! I am off to get some lunch and get Ryans candles looked out for his cake!

If you have time remember to pop over to the Elphine House Challenge Blog and see the rest of the DT girls cards and join in with our challenge!

Very Berry!

Hello! I hope you have all had a great day. We were at my daughters dancing class show. It was really good and was very proud to see her up there. When she was younger she was beyond shy. At nursery she went well over her first year without saying a single word! The more it went on the harder it got for her. She has then had a lot of health issues and is on immune suppressants for Auto Immune Liver Disease and is also waiting on her grommets to be re inserted for 3rd time and adenoids removed again. Her adenoids have grown back a few times now which is caused by her medication.... Anyway needless to say to have her up on that stage was a big deal for her and us!

So i am here tonight with a Christmas card i made just for fun. I had seen this digi stamp, Berry from Wee Stamps , and had to buy her! She is just gorgeous!
Card Recipe
Papers - Dovecraft , Jolly Merry Christmas
Dies/ Embellishements - Fences' and mistletoe leaves from Cricut Potpourri Catridge, Lantern from Christmas Noel Cartridge. Spellbinders classic circles and scallop circles.

Elphine House Australia - Distressed in Stitches!

Hi, Well as promised earlier here i am with my second post of the day!

Here are the details of the latest challenge that up and running over at Elphine House Australia.
The theme this time is...

Distressed in Stitches!
Add some distressing and stitching..faux or real!

Here is my card... I am not huge on heavy distressing but i do like to lightly file/ink edges so thats what i have done here and used DP's that have the distressed look. I decided to colour my image in Sepia tones using my Promarkers. I have had to do faux stitching as my sewing machine is not working. The bobbin keeps getting jammed. Tried everything to sort it but totally stuck!

Okay onto my card...
The image i have used is one of my favourite at the moment.
She is called "Emmas Gift of Love
To join in the challenge you have to use a Elisabeth Bell stamp from any company. There are lots of Elisabeth Bell images out there so let us see your creations!

Cute as a Pie!

Hello! Hope your enjoying your week so far.
I am here to post this card that i made yesterday. I have used another of Elisabeth Bells digi stamps called "Apple Bake"! How cute is she!?

A few weeks ago i promised to myself i am trying to make good use of my poor neglected Cricut Expression so today I cut the swirly frame i used on my card from the Storybook Cartridge. There is quite a lot of great cuts on that cartridge.
Has anyone manged to connect their Cricut machine to the internet for the Craft room? I have downloaded the drivers, followed lots of instructions on the trouble shooter and still not luck. Cant work it out at all so any advise you have would be appreciated!

Anyway back to my card. Here is the recipe,
Papers - My Minds Eye Lost and Found 2
Dies/punches - Cricut storybook cartridge for swirl frame. spellbinders classic circles, Cheery Lynn Fanciful flourish.
Embellishments - Flowers from Wild Orchid Craft, Tulle and pearls from Hobbycraft.
Sentiment - Freebie from a craft magazine.

There is a few fab challenges i am going to enter this into...

Well off to get Carrie ready for bed. They were at Toys r Us tonight as we need them to give us some ideas for Christmas. Carrie has only asked for a desk and chair for her room and the boys can make their minds up!
Have a great night. I will be back late on tonight with my Elphine House Australia challenge card as it goes live at 9am  Australian time which is 11pm here in the UK.

Have a great night!
