Elphine House Australia DT card - Tail of Ice Cream!!

© Elisabeth Bell, 2010.

Hi, I hope you are all having a lovely day! I am just popping by to show my latest DT card from Elphine House Australia to show you. This gorgeous Elisabeth Bell image is called "Tail of Ice Cream" and you can buy him here!
I had great fun with this image. I usually find masculine cards quite hard but this one just fell right into place as soon as i sat down to make it. I have coloured the image with my Promarkers. The DP is from the MME Lost and Found collection. The stars were just a couple of punches i have and I used a few grommlets and brown ribbon from my stash. The edges have been sanded and inked with distress inks. I made the sentiment on Word and printed off.

You can see this and many more creations showcasing the new stamps that are available for order now over at Elphine House DT Studio.

I am going to enter this card into the following challenges;

Stamptacular Sunday - Bugs or Boys
Stamp Something - Use a sentiment
Craft Your Passion - What a Guy

Thanks for looking and for the lovely comments you always leave, they are very much appreciated!

Crafty Calender challenge - Teddy Bears!

Good Morning! Its a absolutely beautiful morning here in Scotland. I think its a day to do nothing at all but heading to a caravan shop with my friend first, just for a browse.

I am here to bring you the new challenge over at Crafty Calender.
Before i go into the challenge details i want to tell you all some news. Starting with the sad news.
Liz, who has been on the CC DT, is stepping down. She has been such a inspiration to me since i joined the team and i cant image how many hundreds she has inspired over the years she has been here. So... Thank You Liz, for all your hard work and amazing creations you have brought to the challenge! It would be great if you could pop over to her blog and leave some love!!

The next news is that Lisa has decided she step down from running the challenge so i have decided to take over the running of the challenge. (bit nervous about that!)
Anyway the Lisa is not leaving us altogether as she is staying on the design team which we are all so happy about. (especially me, as i might need her help!)

Thin that's all the news for now so onto the challenge!
The sponsor this month is The Stamp Fairy!

The theme for this challenge has been set by Caroline.
Its her Dads birthday this month and as he gets called Ted she has decided to go with ..Teddy Bears!

Now onto my card. I have used the super cute Teddy Bea on my card. I love this image as there is a set of extra accessories that you can use with it. She is coloured with Promarkers. The papers are MME. The sentiment which reads "Come on...under my umbrella" was computer generated and printed off. Love how you can have much more personal sentiments making them yourself. All the pearls, ribbon etc are from my stash. Oh..the flowers are of course Wild Orchid crafts.

I am going to enter the following challenges;

Teddy Bo - Easel card
I love Promarkers - Song Title (Rihanna..under my umbrella ella ella.."!)

I hope you can head over to the Crafty Calender challenge blog and see the rest of the teams inspiration and join in with our challenge!

Thanks!

A Pen Friend!!

Well its been another nice day here in Scotland. Not just as warm as the past few days but still sunny and dry! The kids are back to school tomorrow and i must say...thank god!!

Tonight i have made a card with one of my favourite images from Elisabeth Bell. I must admit i love all her images, they are all so sweet and a joy to colour. Over on the Belles and Whistles Challenge blog they have a sketch to follow. Its a great sketch to leave plain or dress it right up, i have dressed it up a bit but you cans till see the sketch clearly.
I have left the comfort zone a bit tonight! I have distressed all the edges of the card stock and DP's. I am not big on distressing, i do like the look but i felt mine always looked like a dog had chewed it! Anyway once i put the card together i really liked it and i am not so afraid of my distress tool now!
The image was coloured with Promarkers and little bits of Glossy Accents and glitter added here and there. The papers are "Lush" from MME and doily from Ribbon Box. The charm is made from scratch using beads, pins and chain made at different lengths. I think it works well and a nice change from my usual charms.
I printed the sentiment which says "A note for my friend.." and the rest of the supplies are from my stash.
I am entering this card into the following challenges;

Paper Sundaes - Favourite hair colour combo (i used Promarkers - Sandstone, Caramel and the blending pen also a inktense pencil in shaded areas - willow)
Totally Gorjuss - 123 - i used 1 image, 2 ribbons (cream and brown) and 3 DP's.
Lexis Creation - Friendship
Craft Your Passion - Anything Goes
Papertake Weekly - Anything Goes
Tip Top Tuesday - Open challenge

Thats all for now! Hope you enjoy the rest of the week. Thanks for reading and for all the much appreciated comments.
