What a Star!

At last its Saturday! This week has been a long week for me. The kids are off school and the weather is rotten and wet. We have had a lazy day today, i seem to be just going on circles and not getting anywhere fast!
Anyway i better get on with sharing my card with you as i am making the dinner at the same time and dont fancy having it burnt!
I have been playing with another Saturated Canary digi stamp called "Nevaeh! Krista's images are just fab. I coloured her with Promakers. The sketch is from Stamps & Fun = Creativity. Its a fab sketch and i have just angled some of the layers but can still see the sketch clearly.
My papers are Papermania capsule, Boysenberry. My flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts, lace from Hobbycraft and my sentiment was computer generated and all the other embellishments are from out my stash.

I would like to enter my card into these following challenges;
Tip Top Tuesday - Layer it up
Sweet Stamps - Lots of Layers
Totally Papercrafts - Layer upon Layer
Paper Playtime - Sentiment and Buttons and Bows
Thanks for taking the time to look at my card! I really do appreciate all the lovely comments!

A Pen Friend!!

Well its been another nice day here in Scotland. Not just as warm as the past few days but still sunny and dry! The kids are back to school tomorrow and i must say...thank god!!

Tonight i have made a card with one of my favourite images from Elisabeth Bell. I must admit i love all her images, they are all so sweet and a joy to colour. Over on the Belles and Whistles Challenge blog they have a sketch to follow. Its a great sketch to leave plain or dress it right up, i have dressed it up a bit but you cans till see the sketch clearly.
I have left the comfort zone a bit tonight! I have distressed all the edges of the card stock and DP's. I am not big on distressing, i do like the look but i felt mine always looked like a dog had chewed it! Anyway once i put the card together i really liked it and i am not so afraid of my distress tool now!
The image was coloured with Promarkers and little bits of Glossy Accents and glitter added here and there. The papers are "Lush" from MME and doily from Ribbon Box. The charm is made from scratch using beads, pins and chain made at different lengths. I think it works well and a nice change from my usual charms.
I printed the sentiment which says "A note for my friend.." and the rest of the supplies are from my stash.
I am entering this card into the following challenges;

Paper Sundaes - Favourite hair colour combo (i used Promarkers - Sandstone, Caramel and the blending pen also a inktense pencil in shaded areas - willow)
Totally Gorjuss - 123 - i used 1 image, 2 ribbons (cream and brown) and 3 DP's.
Lexis Creation - Friendship
Craft Your Passion - Anything Goes
Papertake Weekly - Anything Goes
Tip Top Tuesday - Open challenge

Thats all for now! Hope you enjoy the rest of the week. Thanks for reading and for all the much appreciated comments.

Teddy Bea in Pink!

Hi, This is going to be a quick post tonight, got so much to do! This little Criss Cross pocket card was made for the Teddy Bo challenge which is "In the Pink" this time. I have coloured her in with Promarkers.  The paper i used is K&Co Amy Butler Belle Pink Acanthus. I have stitched the inside card and the border on the front with silver thread. I had to handsew it this time because i couldnt keep my sewing machine going in a straight line!! Yes it was all the machines fault....nothing to do with me not taking my time!! (well maybe that had something to do with it)
This was really simple and easy to make. The bow and gems are out my stash.

Here are the list of challenges i am entering with my criss cross card.

Glittering Tilda for I love promarkers Birthday!

Hi, Thank god its Friday! What a week, its been so busy and i have not been feeling that great with my kidney pain etc so i am looking forward to having a nice weekend and thats the kids off school for 10 days. At least i can get up and ready without having to rush to get to school on time!

Onto my card. This was made for for the Magnolia Stamp Lovers challenge which is Glitter this time. My Tilda was coloured in with Promarkers and i have edged her all dress in Glossy Accents and glamour dust. This week at I love Promarkers they are celebrating their 1st Birthday!! They have a Birthday blog hop and a Birthday card challenge going on. The papers are the Pink Petticoat Vintage Rose ones that came free wiht my magazine. I made the white frame from a cut from my Cricut Wild Card Cartridge and i embossed it with a floral embossing folder. The larger flower is a home made one and the others are from Papermania. The green vines are from my Potpourri Basket Cartridge and have
also been given the Glossy Accent and glitter treatment! The charm and chain, buttons, pins and lace were from my stash and the sentiment was from a pack of clear stamps i have and inked with the pink ink.

Heres the challenges i would like to enter with this card;

Thanks you as always for visiting my blog and wish you all a lovely weekend!

Chocolate box!!

Good morning, i have bee trying to post this since last night...not sure if there was something up with blogger but it kept saying i couldnt upload photos because i needed the proper licence or something??
Anyway here all fine now. I decided to make a box to hold chocolates for the kids to give to my mum.
Its actually a slider box and the whole sleeve slides of and leaves the plain pink box. Worked out great and just as i planned.
The image is one of the hAnglar stamps i found trailing the net. She is lovely, i love these stamps so i am on a mission to get a lot more...so hard to get though. I coloured her in with Promarkers. On her heart i used glossy accents and glitter, as well as on her bows in her hair etc.
The flowers are handmade and the leaves/vines are from the potpourri cartridge. I have not used that cut before but its quite nice with the swirls on there too.
The paper is a Bo Bunny one i think, dont quote me on that one! The ribbons down each side has been pleated by used a run of double sided tape and then just folded it in as i went. To be honest i thought it would be quicker than sewing it the gathering it up but it wasnt! The edges are punched with my MS punch.
Heres is a front on view.
The sentiment was a free one from Birds Cards. I just found this blog the other day and its fab, she has cutting files on there too! Lots of great stuff!

Here is the challenges i am entering with this choc box;
http://cutecardthursday.blogspot.com/ - Recipe 1,2,3 (I have used 1 brad, 2 fancy pins, and 3 flowers!)
http://simonsaysstampschallenge.blogspot.com/ - Bingo! (i used Gems, Glitter, Ribbon line)

Thanks for looking and hope you have a great weekend!

What a Week!

Hi, well i have had the busiest week! The boys were off school with a bug and Ryan, the oldest, ended up with a chest infection. Carrie, my six year old has had a few hospital appointments this week because she is going in tomorrow for a operation. She has Auto Immune Liver Disease, this is where her own immune systems attacks her liver so she is going for another Liver Biopsy to see how her liver is doing She is also having grommets put back in for her hearing and her adenoid taken out again. They were taken out a few years back but her immune suppressant medication has caused them to grow back!! Strange but thats the theory! I am not looking forward to the the operation but it has to be done and better that they do it all at one time instead of two different operations which was the first plan!

Anyway here is my card for the Lili of the Valley Challenge. Great sketch as usual! I am running so late with this, i have 1 hour to get this posted!! I coloured my image with my promarkers. I love this image, so far one of my favourites. I have a feeling when i get my new stamps i might have a new favourite!
The sentiment is from my cricut wild card cart and onto a punched tag. The papers are ones i have had for so long that i cant remember. I think they are maybe DCWV ones but not sure!
The flower is again, homemade and inked with a pink ink pad. The gems and ribbon are from my stash.

I am entering into these challenges;
http://ilovepromarkers.blogspot.com/ - Punches (i punched the scalloped border and tag also got diecuts on the card)

Thanks for visiting and will be back online at the weekend. I will be staying in the hospital with Carrie overnight. Away to pack our bags!

Take Care

Black and white!

Hi There,
I hope you have all enjoyed the snow. We now have the deepest snow here since 1964, according to our council anyway! Its actually so deep my 6 year old cant really go out to play in it because its up to her bottom  in places so wellie boots are just not doing the job!! we are also snowed in and the schools are shut till Monday at least. There goes my Christmas shopping tomorrow and not sure about doing it online because roads and motorways have been closed on and off and we have not even post never mind large lorries with parcels! We are meant to have another 20cms tonight again, I am now getting a bit fed up with it.

So here is my card that i made the other day. The sketch is from the Just Magnolia Challenge. My Tilda was coloured with promarkers. As you can see i decided to try and do her all in "black and white." Had fun messing with all the grey shades, its not exactly how i wanted her to look but was running out of time. The colour scheme came from the Allsorts challenge which is Monochrome. The paper i used, the black one, has lots of lovely flocking on it. This card was hard to get a good photo off, the white just kept bouncing back at the camera. Its not a cheap camera i use, maybe its just me not using it properly. I decided to add Pearl Paper Effects, glitter and gems onto the corners. This fits with the Paper Sundaes challenge of "Adorn Those Corners". The Die Cut Dreams Christmas Clubs challenge is to use Die Cuts and i used plenty on this card with the Nesties and the swirls and flower from my Cricut Machine. The Craft Your Days Away Challenge is to add texture to your card. The flocking on the paper, embossing and lace counts for this. I am also going to play along with Tip Top Tuesday which is anything goes.

Heres the challenge blog links!

White Christmas!

Hi, Another late night! Today we had our first flutter of snow. It never came to anything but it definitely did snow! My card for tonight is all about snow! The Crafty Calender Challenge this month is "Winter Snowflakes and Crafts and Me Challenge is "Dreaming of a White Xmas". The card is a step card as you can see and i have used my snowflakes embossing folder to emboss the 2 layers on the base card. The image i have used it from LOTV and i just love it! I have coloured it in with my Promarkers. I have left most of it white obviously and used my grey shades to give shadows etc but you can hardly see it on the picture. The snowflakes are from my Cricut Potpouri cartridge and i have layered them up 3 times and used 3d foam pads to add depth. The charm, ribbon and pins just finish the card off and i added a little glitter to the smallest snowflakes. I have entered the Tip Top Tuesday challenge, they are looking for "Layer upon Layer"so this card fits in with that. There are a couple of "Anything Goes" challenges which i have entered and i will add the links to them below.
