Today is the start of another challenge at Craft us Crazy!!

Before i tell you all about the new challenge i want to say thanks very much for everyone who entered the Celebration/Cupcakes challenge! The entries were all fab!

So onto the challenge. For this challenge we have the wonderful Peggy Loves Vintage! who are giving away 5 cut outs of the winners choice! what a great prize!

To win this you will have to create a..........

EASTER OR SPRING THEMED CARD!

We also have our monthly sponsor who is The Stamp Fairy!

The top 3 from both of the months challenges will be put into a draw and have a chance to win....$12 Gift Certificate!! The DT were also very kindly given images from the Stamp Fairy also so keep a look out for inspiration over at Craft Us crazy over the month!!

This is my creation for this challenge using a Peggy Loves Vintage  image that the DT were so kindly given to use. Thank You!!

I used my Marianne design corner dies on this card. Love when you do it on a smaller piece of paper it looks more like it has been punched round the page. No DP...i had used a lilac paper that had colours from the image on it but it just didnt look right..just a bit too much! I think  the duck stands out so much more with no DP. I think these flowers are from The Works. I had ran out of Lilac WOC ones but these did the job ok. The charm is a umbrella which i thought went with ducks brolly!

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges also;
http://aspoonfullofsugarchallenge.blogspot.com/ - Easter!
http://letscreatechallenges.blogspot.com/ - Easter!
http://creativecraftworld.blogspot.com/ - Easter!

Simply Create DT card - Do It Yourself!!

Good Afternoon! Today i have my first Simply Create Design team card to share with you. What a amazing welcome the newbies have received from the SC girls... thank you girls, your all just lovely!!

 The challenge for this fortnight is....Do It Yourself!!!!  Now this is open for you to interpret as you wish, no right or wrong on Simply Create!
For my card i have used DIY flowers, charms, buttons and hand stitching.  This is what the flowers, button and charm started of as...

I used thick embossing powder for the button. I had made it pink but it ended up far to bright for the card so out came the white embossing powder and  i covered the pink up and it actually made it look much more raised by the time i had done a zillion layers of white to cover every bit of pink!!! I used ruffled ribbon to surround the button and a piece of white ribbon to thread through and knot. The charm is just a cardboard heart with layers of silver embossing powder on and then the gems set into it. The chain was added using a jump ring into a tiny hole i made in the heart. The flowers are scalloped ovals with the scallop edge cut off and twirled round a quilling tool and then shaped into shape. For the stitching i used my We R Memory Keepers Sew easy and then hand stitched the floss through.

The image i used is from Wee Stamps and this one is called Wee Suzie! She is so cute and there are so many other cuties where this one came from! I have nearly bought them all, i just love them....and the artist is from Edinburgh which is very close to where i stay! I have coloured her with Promarkers. The papers are from Pink Pettycoat and the spotty one from Craftwork Cards. Both free from Magazines.
 The swirl is a Marianne design die. Ribbon and Gems are from my stash.

I hope you can take the time to hop over to Simply Create and have a look at the SC design team cards...Wow, they are all fab and all show what DIY means to them! I look forward to seeing all your DIY creations. The challenge is open for 2 weeks so gives plenty of time!

Just for Mum!

Hi there, I hope you are all having a lovely weekend. Its been a lovely day here, still quite cold but the sun looked the part!! Maybe spring is here now!

Today i have a card to share. The sketch is from the Sugar Bowl and i have used a Simply Sassy stamp called "Fairy Tale". This was one the six stamps i won from the Sugar Bowl Challenge a few weeks back (Thank you again!) I coloured her in with promarkers, loved colouring her hair. The paper is from Pink Pettycoat. I couldnt decide on ribbon or just some fibres so ended up using them both! The flowers are form WOC and the vines/leaves are from my Pot-pourri Cricut Cartridge and inked them with Sugar Spun Distress ink. The charm, metal circle, pearls and pins are all from my stash. The sentiment is a Personal Impressions and stamped onto a small tag which is also inked with Spun Sugar.

There are so many challenges out this week with the theme of Mothers Day so there are a lots of challenges to enter today! Here they are;

So onto my DT card. Limited Runs Digis were so generous to give us all a cupcake image to use for this challenge. I used "One Candle Cupcake". You can find it HERE.
Since it was cupcake as well as celebration theme i decided to make a recipe card. The other image i used here is a Belles and Whistles stamp called "Cupcake". I love this image and couldnt resist using her on my card.

The recipe is for cupcakes and i have printed it onto white card and layered it with Lilac then made a pocket in the inside of my card. My sentiment reads "Celebrate....With Cake"

A Recipe Card - Yum!!

Hi, We have more snow today, there was a good amount fell overnight but its turning into slush now because we have had some rain.  Just hoping that's it all. Really shouldn't be complaining about a bit of snow when we see what's going on in Japan. Its just awful.
Today i am here with a Recipe card. This is the challenge over at Elisabeth Bells World. The DT have got some amazing samples on show.

 I bought this stamp at the SECC at the beginning of the month. Just love it, so cute! She is coloured with Promarkers. The Sketch is followed from Fussy and Fancy Friday and the colours were used to fit with the Belles and Whistles challenge which is just about to finish today i think!
The fancy corners were made with my Nellie Snellon Dies. The papers are Bo Bunny i think, i have cut of the bottom corer with the name on! The ruffled ribbon was another find at the SECC. It was from Ribbon Box and i comes ruffled like in the picture, its stretches forever too! Will be buying more of that from the on-line shop. The flowers are WOC and the swirl is a Marianne Design die.

The Sentiment and the recipe itself were computer generated and printed onto white card then onto a pink mat. I added quite a few little pink gems to finish the card off.

Here is the challenges i would like to enter with this recipe card;

http://bnwchallenges.blogspot.com/ - White, Pink and Red

Thanks for looking and for the lovely comments. Have a great weekend and fingers crossed there is no more snow!!

Pom Pom all in Purple!

Hi, This is a flying visit today as i have the doctors soon. I wanted to post my LOV challenge card before i forget. This week the challenge was a sketch by Bev and as usual it was a really nice one.
I used the little Pom Pom fairy image and coloured her with Promarkers. Her wings are covered in Crackle Accents to make it look like veins in the wings. I decided to go without DP's this time and just embossed the white layers . The border punch is a MS one. The flowers are cut from my cuttlebug and then i have layered a flower from my Plantin Schoolbook Cricut Cartridge and gave them the glossy accents and Glamour dust treatment that i seem to have a thing about at the moment!!
The sentiment is also from LOTV from the pack of calender/date stamps. Some of the white is inked up using Dusky Concord Distress Inks. The ribbon, trim, gems and charm are just from my stash...had to dig to find a different charm than usual!

The challenges i am entering this card into are;

Thanks for having a look.

Teddy Bo!

I am just popping by to post my Teddy Bo card for this weeks challenge and managed to combine with a few more too. Its a colour challenge this time..Duck Egg Blue and Brown. I love this colour combo!
I have coloured my image with promarkers. I love this image, its so cute! The sketch i followed is this weeks Totally Gorjuss challenge. It was a great sketch to play with.
I have used my Martha Stewart POTP punch. I used lace out my stash on my border, i am running out so must go get more of that one! The spotty paper is from papermania "The Big One" by Claire Curd. I have had this pad for such a long time and it is never ending! The flower and pearls are from my stash. The sentiment is a Personal Impressions one that i got not long ago, its has a matching set with relations/ages etc. Its good to have a whole set that covers everything in the same font.

Heres the links to the challenges that i am entering today;

Simply Done!

(This is my second post for the day. The Crafty calender Challenge post is below!)

I thought i would ink up one of the Simply Sassy stamps that i got from the show in Glasgow on Thursday. Had a great day but the bank balance aint feeling so good!

I am not one for clean and simple cards but i think i did not bad to stay away from lots of swirls, ribbons, and lots of clutter on this card. The sketch is from the Sugar Bowl Challenge. The optional was clean and simple..as i said i did try! The image is called "Bed Time Snuggles" and i coloured her with Promarkers.
The paper is My Minds Eye, Lost and Found. I inked the edges of all the layers and mats with Spun Sugar distress ink.  The swirl is from Marianne design  and the punch is a Martha Stewart one. (cant remember the name!) The flowers are from  WOC and pearls are from my stash.

I am entering the card into the following challenges;

Hope your having a great weekend! Off to do some of the dreaded housework!

Craft Us Crazy challenge #3 - Nature!!

Hiya, As you read this i will be getting ready to head to Glasgow SECC for the Hobbycraft Show! I have a list of things i am looking for and will have the whole day to walk around without anyone rushing me. I cant think of a better way to spend a day!

Anyway onto the important stuff..its a new challenge over at Craft Us Crazy today!!  Thanks for everyone that made a "Winter" project.
This time the theme this time is..............Nature!!  With it coming into Spring there are lots of ways to interpret this theme.

This challenge is sponsored by CoCoDingo!!

The prize is 4 Digital images of your choice!
...................................

Also for the month of March we are also being sponsored by Stitchy Bear Digital Stamps

The prize for this month is $10 Gift Certificate. The top 3 from both challenges this month will be put into a draw and the person who is picked will win this prize!

Here is my Nature project.......Its a little file card to hold packets of seeds.

I have used a template that came with a craft magazine (Crafts Beautiful i think) a long time ago. I went through a period of pulling out all those free templates and putting them into a folder and have hardly looked at them since! Now i just keep the whole magazines which are taking up so much space!
Once i had put the file card together i covered it with Wild Rose Studio papers which i had inked with pink. The image is Lilyboo designs, Bunches in the flowers. I have coloured this with promarkers. I did the sentiment on the computer and printed off. I added the chain and garden charms to the sentiment make it look like a bag charm. Its round the ribbon handle which you cant see in the photo, Sorry! The flowers are WOC and all the swirls and leaves are from my Cricut Storybook Cartridge. I added the gems to finish off.
Heres the inside with packets of seeds in the little pockets.

I am entering this file card into the following challenges ;

http://diecutdreams.blogspot.com/ - Spring Garden Scene

Thanks for popping by and hope you find time to make a nature themed project for our latest challenge at Craft Us Crazy!
