Call Me!!

Hi, What another beautiful day it was here in Scotland again! This weather is just amazing..hope it lasts! Well as you might notice if you have been here before i have had a little blog makeover! Not sure about this background yet so it might change again but loving the 3 columns to work with. Saves scrolling down forever to find things!

I have a card to share that i made the other night. Over at the Sugar Bowl the challenge this time is a sketch along with the theme of Buttons so had to enter.
I have used a Simply Sassy stamp called "Call Me" and coloured her with my promarkers.
The papers are from a Papermania Capsule pad that i bought not long ago. Its got lovely basic papers in it such as spots, stripes and checked. The fancy frame is from my Cricut Pot pourri cartridge.

My flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the leaves are again from the pot pourri and inked with yellow ink the tie in with the yellow in the image.
The sentiment reads "miss taking to you" and is from the wild card cartridge. The ribbon, glittery gems, buttons and hat pin are all from my stash.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges;

The Sugar Bowl - Sketch and buttons.
Stamp Something - With Flowers,Buttons and sparkle.
Stamptacular challenge - Pile It On - More than 5 layers.

Thanks for looking and you kind comments! Enjoy your night!

Just for Mum!

Hi there, I hope you are all having a lovely weekend. Its been a lovely day here, still quite cold but the sun looked the part!! Maybe spring is here now!

Today i have a card to share. The sketch is from the Sugar Bowl and i have used a Simply Sassy stamp called "Fairy Tale". This was one the six stamps i won from the Sugar Bowl Challenge a few weeks back (Thank you again!) I coloured her in with promarkers, loved colouring her hair. The paper is from Pink Pettycoat. I couldnt decide on ribbon or just some fibres so ended up using them both! The flowers are form WOC and the vines/leaves are from my Pot-pourri Cricut Cartridge and inked them with Sugar Spun Distress ink. The charm, metal circle, pearls and pins are all from my stash. The sentiment is a Personal Impressions and stamped onto a small tag which is also inked with Spun Sugar.

There are so many challenges out this week with the theme of Mothers Day so there are a lots of challenges to enter today! Here they are;

Simply Done!

(This is my second post for the day. The Crafty calender Challenge post is below!)

I thought i would ink up one of the Simply Sassy stamps that i got from the show in Glasgow on Thursday. Had a great day but the bank balance aint feeling so good!

I am not one for clean and simple cards but i think i did not bad to stay away from lots of swirls, ribbons, and lots of clutter on this card. The sketch is from the Sugar Bowl Challenge. The optional was clean and simple..as i said i did try! The image is called "Bed Time Snuggles" and i coloured her with Promarkers.
The paper is My Minds Eye, Lost and Found. I inked the edges of all the layers and mats with Spun Sugar distress ink.  The swirl is from Marianne design  and the punch is a Martha Stewart one. (cant remember the name!) The flowers are from  WOC and pearls are from my stash.

I am entering the card into the following challenges;

Hope your having a great weekend! Off to do some of the dreaded housework!

How Adorable??

I have had this card made since yesterday but my laptop decided to have a day off! I have had to reinstall all the drivers...Grrr!
This card was made for the Sugar Bowl challenge, the sketch this week was fab and we had the optional extra of the picture inspiration....

I just used the colours really for my card..mostly white with little blue!
The image is obviously the adorable Joy and she is coloured with Promarkers. I love these in Digi format because i was able to make the image smaller than i usually would use it to fit my space.
I embossed the layers with the swirls embossing folder and kept it pretty simple. The flower is a handmade one and the swirl is a cut form the Story Book Cartridge. I have used 2 kinds of ribbon, the sheer and the narrow silk. I have used them one on top of another to give it a different look and then with the bow i used the silk to twist down in spirals. I think this has turned out really well. The gems charm and chain are from my stash.

Here is a list of challenges that i am entering this card into!

Something other than pink!

Hi, Hope you all had a lovely weekend. I am looking forward to getting back to normal this week. My daughter had her operation on Thursday. She had a Liver biopsy, grommet insertion and adenoids taken out. She was the bravest girl ever. The only thing she complained about was her sore shoulder because she had to lie on her side for nearly 6 hours and because she was leaning on her shoulder it was hurting her. It was meant to be 4 hours but the nurses werent sure so kept her on her side until they checked! Yes.. took them 2 hours to check it out!! Dont get me wrong the staff were extremely good, went beyond the job description to make all the kids on that ward feel at ease and comfortable.

Here is my card that i rattled up tonight while watching Dancing On Ice! The sketch is from the Sugar Bowl Challenge. Great sketch to work with. My cutie is coloured in with Pro markers. I am usually a pastel colour girl but really liked these bold colours together. Over at the CES challenge the challenge is no Designer Papers, it was hard not to reach into the paper stack but i managed! I distressed the edges of all the white and teal paper with walnut ink.
The swirls and leaves are die cuts from my Cricut and the flowers as usual were home made and touched up with stickles. The gems and ribbon are out my stash.

I am entering the card into the following challenges;

Thats a lot of challenges with one card! I am now off to try and get a few hours sleep!
Thanks for visiting and having a look!

Lace & Pearls Sprinkled with Sugar!

Hi, Heres my last card of 2010! I soon as i saw The Sugar Bowls sketch for this weeks challenge i got straight to it! Loved this sketch and its one i will definitely use again. The optional extra is embossing so i have used my Cuttlebug and embossing folder to emboss the base layer. The paper i used is from a new pack that i bought in the Hobbycraft sale. Its the from the "Slice" range and i got the 12x12 pack for £1.99!! I have also used new lace, and pins/beads and the brad is new too. This all fits with My Time to Craft Challenge which is "Brand Spanking New!" The image is coloured with Promarkers and i have used the old faithful glossy accents on her tights. Not sure what i would do without that little bottle! Paper Sundaes challenge is "cut it out" so I have cut the image out and used 3d pads to make her stand out more. The other challenge that i playing along with is Charisma Cardz which is Pearls and Lace. I have also added my little butterfly on chain to to ribbon.

Here all the links to the challenges;

Sugar Fix!

First of all, sorry about the poor photo. Its 2am and possibly the worst time to start taking photos! I couldnt sleep tonight so decided to have a sugar fix! Here is my entry to "The Sugar Bowl". The theme was to use the sketch given and the colour scheme of Black and White with one other. I chose pink as you can see! The sktech was a really good one to follow. I coloured my Gorgeous girl with promarkers. I love colouring these girls in and especially love colouring their hair!
I have also entered the card into the CES challenge. The theme is Lovely Lace so i have used 2 layers of the lace overlapping and think it adds a bit more depth to it. Passion for Promarkers challenge is "Stitching and Distressing. As you can see i have used Faux stitching around the black layer and also used my pricking took  around the other layers to create the "stitched" look! As for the distressing, i used black distress ink all around each layer. I didnt go too mad with it since its not really one of my best techniques and didnt want it to end up a mess. This is a area i need to improve on..lots!

So here is the links to the challenge blogs;
