Christmas Tilda!

Hi, Its Friday again!.. i cant keep up with the days at the moment! I am here tonight to post this card i make following the amazing sketch and inspirational picture from TOMIC. I bought this stamp a while back on e-bay..(what would we do with out e-bay!??) and shame on me i have never inked it up until now. I coloured her with Promarkers and used Glossy Accents and Martha Stewart Glitter.

The papers is from Anna Griffin which has really nice soft colours which would do Christmas and weddings.
I have stitched all the layers with my sewing machine..Wonky i know...lets just go with saying it adds character to the card, distressed with my stressy tool, inked with "Old Paper" Distress ink!!
The rosette flowers i made myself which were again inked with "Old Paper". I used a eyelet in the middle to finish them off and .
The lace, ribbon and pearls are just out my stash .

Here are the challenges that i would like to enter this card into;

TOMIC - Sketch and Inspirational picture
Christmas Card Challenges - Handmade Flowers
Hooked on Craft Challenge - Ribbon and Lace
Addicted to Stamps - Stitching.
Thanks ver much for poppin by and i will be back in the morning with a brand new challenge and a special surprise from Craft Calender!

Have a lovely night!

Elphine House Australia DT card - Scrap it Challenge!

 Hi, At long last my internet service is back! That was awful having it down for that long. How did we survive before internet! God knows! Its much like mobile phones, if feel strange if i go out and leave my phone at home. Ok to be honest i don't think i would leave without it and if i did i would go back for it!!

Anyway onto why i am here....the new Elphine House Australia challenge. I am late with this post with my internet being down so the challenge started on Wednesday 21st.
This time round the theme is ....
"Scrap it"
We are looking for all your creations using all those scraps that you have collected.

You can use any Elisabeth Bell image at all but if you have one of the new Elphine House Australia then we would love to see what you have made with them!

For my creation this time i  used a old chocolate box that had drawers in it so i took out the drawers and i have made it into a little promarker box for my most used promakers.
© Elisabeth Bell
Everything i used was scrap. I had a few left over lengths of the same lace so i used that along the top. The papers were just ones i found in the scrap box, dont know where they came from. The images on the front were also in the scrap box as they both had little mishaps somewhere on them so i cut the off to just use their heads! The flowers were also ones that i had used on cards that i wasnt happy with so i stripped them off the flowers and charms etc to use again. The metal handle was off a set of cardboard drawers that i used to keep my flowers in but they had started to fall apart so i took all the handles off them! Nothing gets put in the bin until i have stripped it off all the reusable bits!!
As you can see i have used a different Elphine House Australia stamp on each side. A great way to use all of your favourite stamps together.

You can see lots of creations using Elphine House Australia on the brand new Elphine House Gallery website where you can meet the Design Team members and their creations!

I hope you can join in with our challenge. Its open until Tuesday 4th September at 9pm and the next challenge will be set the next day at 9am. Come and let us see what you can make with your scraps.

Thanks for dropping in!

Christmas time - Hokey Pokey!

Good morning! Well its another sleepless night so here i am at 3.22am to share my very first Christmas card of 2011!! What else would you do at this time of the night..well morning!

I ordered this cutie last week after seeing her in a on-line shop. She's a Dawn's Clear Stamps called "Hokey Pokey" and a dream to colour. I coloured her using Promakers and used my glossy accents and glamour dust.
The paper was one i have had for a long time and have not got a clue where it even came from.

My snowflakes are from my Cricut Pot Pourri Cartridge and this time i used my Crafters Companion spray and stick then sprinkled with the glamour dust...In fact the glamour dust is glittering all over the card and was also all over me and everything in a 2 meter radius.. It was worth the mess though! The charm and ribbon was taken of a old card that i putting in the bin and the charm was out a Christmas cracker from 2 years ago!! The sentiment is one from a free set of stamps out a magazine.

Here is the links to the challenges i am entering with my card;

ABC Christmas Challenge - R is for Recycling/rhinestones and ribbon
Christmas Challenges {with sketches} - Sketch - Too Late..silly me!
Stamp Something - Anything goes last challenge :-(

Thanks for reading!!

Tilda - The Rose

Good evening! I am just going to get a quick post done as i have done this card for the "Frame It" challenge at Magnolia Down Under and i forgot to post it this morning and i only have 30 mins left to get it entered!

I love this stamp, one of my fav Tilda images. I have coloured her with promarkers.
The frame was made from using Nellie Snellen corner die and then i have covered it with Crackle Accents and i touch of glamour dust.
The papers are Tm Holtz Vintage Shabby pad and ii have machine stitched the layers.
My flowers are from WOC and the charm is two bead charms and a butterfly added together. The sentiment is from Forever Friends Gold and Black set.

I would like to enter the following challenges;

Simply Magnolia - Anything Goes
Charisma Cardz - Inspired by a song..."The Rose"
I love Promarkers - Metal embellishment/ charm

Elphine House Australia Challenge - Its Cuddle Time!

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                   !

Good Morning! Its 8am here in Scotland which means the new Elphine House Australia challenge! is well under way! I meant to have this post scheduled but i saved it last night and got distracted and forgot to publish!
Our new challenge theme is...

"Its Cuddle Time"

We would love to see anything cuddly! It could be a teddy, an animal or even a baby. We all love a cuddle dont we! There are so many options with this challenge.  You can use any Elisabeth Bell image, It doesnt need to be a Elphine House Australia  stamp..although if you have any we would love to see what you have done with them!

For my card i have decided to use "Evania - Nursing Boo Boo" which you will find along with all the other stamps in the Elphine House Australia store. It was so hard to get a proper photo of the card with it having a acetate base.
My card base is obviously Acetate and i had good fun creating this card. The image is coloured with Promarkers, the flowers are WOC, and the lace, ribbon and gems etc are from my stash. There is also NO designer papers in sight! I always use a DP somewhere on my cards so it was strange not getting my papers out. I am going to enter the Creative Belli Blog challenge which is Acetate/vellum but this challenge is to get you using something old and forgotten about. My old and forgotten item is the sprays with the clear beads on them that i have in my bow. I have had these lying about since i recycled something and took them all out for me to use...that was about 2 years ago! Its great what a tidy out finds!

I hope you can come join us at the Elphine House Blog for our challenge. Remember you can use any Elisabeth Bell image. You can also combine challenges so with your Elisabeth Bell image you can also enter into Elisabeth Bells World and the Belles and Whistles Challenge.

I would like to enter the following challenges;

Creative Belli - Acetate/vellum
Sweet Stamps - Lace
Try it on Tuesday - Monochrome
Fairy Tale - Flowers and Lace

Thanks for dropping by and hope you can join in our challenge!
