Pink to make the Boys Wink!

Well its been a day of many seasons here today. Dull and Windy this morning, then out came the sun for a few hours then came the downpour!
This card was made with a few challenges in mind.
The sketch i followed is from the Fussy and Fancy Friday challenge. The sketch caught my eye right away, its one that you could really fancy up if you want to. The paper is from a Doodlebug pack i found among my drawer of papers. I really need to get them sorted out. I have used so much pink to fit in with the challenge over at the Paper Play Challenge which is "Pink To Make The Boys Wink." The image is Sugar Nellies, Post Box stamp. I have stamped her out and cut her out leaving the post box and grass which has made it look like a totally different stamp. I coloured her with Promarkers and used some of my glossy accents and glitter on the letter and spots on her hat etc. I made the 3 flowers by hand by using diecut hearts and cut the leaves using my Cricut StoryBook Cart. The Craftalicious challenge is to use Swirls and Pearls so i used the swirl frame cut from my Cricut and used pearls to finish it off.  The sentiment i cut out using my Cuttlebug and circle nasties from a a4 sheet of sentiments i bought.

Here is the list of challenges i have entered!

Stitched up!!

Here is the latest creation! I have seen lots of these on a many blogs and i just love them. As i was half way through the stitching i checked the Totally Tilda blog and the new challenge is "Stitching". Maybe it was crafters intuition...but lets face it, it was probably just a bit of luck!

The paper i have used has a story behind it, its actually wallpaper! ssshh...I couldnt resist taking a sample when i seen it on the shelf in our local DIY store! I read a long time ago about a crafter who always collects wallpapers and pain charts etc to use on her cards but i wasnt really sure if the wallpaper would do the job! Well it certainly did! It was really expensive designer stuff, £49.99 a roll so it was really thick and the flocking is lovely. The picture doesnt do it justice! I only took a little bit so thats it used!
The flower is one i made myself. I cut hearts out on my Cricut and curled the edges over and arranged one overlapping the next. Turned out great. I covered the flower in Glossy accents and some MS glitter to give it the "wet" look.
The swirls are cut from my cricut story book cartridge onto silver paper. The stitching is also silver thread, again the photo doesnt show it up well.

My Tilda image is coloured in with promarkers. I used all my "Cool Grey" shades to give it a black and white effect. That is my first try of that so could have been better! I added a few gems to add some bling!
The challenge at Creative Card Crew is "Sparkle and Shine" so i have entered into that with my shiny flower and sparkling gems!

Pink, Pink and more Pink!

Hi, What a beautiful day it is here, the kids are out having a water fight and i have managed to grab the laptop while they are out! As with most boys their ages, 11 and 13, once they get onto the computer thats me lost it for hours!
Here is my latest creation. The sketch i followed is Dawys sketch for the Just magnolia challenge. I loved this sketch. I have used my Tilda Stamp and coloured her with promarkers. I only really started stamping a lot over the past few months so i have not got a massive selection of stamps yet but I am sure that will change once i have been to the Hobby Craft show in October! I am really looking forward to it, a day in heaven!!
I have also entered my card into the Satuarday challenge which is "What a little girls made of" hence the pink, pink and more pink. The paper is Papermania Honey and Hugs. I got this little stack in a sale a few months back and forgot all about it! The swirls are cut from my Story Book Cartridge using Gemstones cardstock. I have used some Gems and card Candy inside the Prima Flowers. The sentiment was just one that was in a pack of clear stamps from Papermania.

Winter Wonderland - Tag it!

Well, 2 posts in one day, thats not usual! As i was having a look around my blog list i noticed that Winter Wonderlands new challenge is to make a Christmas tag. I couldnt resist so the ironing pile has been dumped back into the cupboard and out came the craft mat! If i keep doing that we will actually have nothing to wear!
Tags is something i never have really been into so i kept it quite simple. I cut the tag using my Cricut with the Plantin schoolbook cartridge. The "Merry Christmas" was cut using my Cricut wild card cartridge and the snowflake from the potpourri basket cartridge. I embossed the white top layer with the cuttlebug snowflakes folder. The sentiment and snowflake are coated with Glossy Accents and MS glitter, i use these two products all the time, couldnt do without them! I layered up the snowflake to add some depth. The little charm was given to me from my friend and it is actually from last years Christmas crackers!! As my kids keep telling me.. Re-use and Recycle! It is also just made from scraps of cardstock that i keep. I hate to waste anything these days! The challenge at Creative Inspirations is "recycle" so will enter into that challenge too!

I was about to say goodnight but its officially good morning now, fingers crossed i sleep tonight!
Thanks for having a peek!

Easel card!

Had a sleepless night as usual so was up making this card at 2am. I seem to be much more creative at that time of night! I also love the quietness..kids sleeping..just bliss!
I love making easel cards, so simple but look great! I have also stuck to my favourite colours! I am entering the card into The Stamp Man challenge as the new challenge is easel cards. My image is from LOTV, one of my favourites and coloured with promarkers. I have embossed one of the layers under the image using my cuttlebug and floral folder, this fits with the challenge at "Our Creative corner".  I have used Acetate and made them stand out more by coating with Glossy Accents and sprinkled with MS Glitter and finished of with Pearls. The I love Promarkers challenge is Acetate so i am hoping the flowers will be enough to count! I really dont remember using acetate on cards since last Christmas, The DT cards over at I love Promarkers were amazing, gave me lots of ideas for next time! The challenges over at Flutter By Wednesday and Party Time Tuesday  is "Anything Goes".
Heres the list of Challenges and links to them;

Another Round One!

Hi There,
Well that me back from my latest travels in the caravan. Had such a relaxing time, we didnt want to come home. In fact we had such a lovely time and the site so was nice we booked for the long weekend in September.
Here is another card which i will enter into a few challenges. For the Totally Tilda Challenge the theme is "shaped cards" so i used the Scallop circle card which i cut on my Cricut and this time i cut my Tilda out and coloured with Promarkers. The paper i used is Bo Bunny. I decided to thread my ribbon and ruffled it for a wee change. I used Buttons and a bow to fit with Crafty Catz challenge. I used the word from the Aud Sentiments Challenge which is "relax" for the sentiment. I am also going to enter the card into the Creative Card Crew challenge as their theme is "Cute and Girly". I think this card fits the bill, nothing more girly than pink and bling! To add the bling i used my clear gems. The flower is cut with my Cuttlebug die and machine and the swirls from my Cricut Story book cartridge.
Hope the cards fits with all the challenges i have entered it into!
