A Long Time Coming... with LOTV Fairy Catkins

Hi everyone, Im so sorry its been sooo long since my last post on here. Ive not been keeping very well at all and just totally lost my mojo. My poor stash has been left totally neglected apart from the odd time i pulled it all out to see if my mojo might come out with it! lol

Anyway the other night after having a look at Lili of the Valleys Simply Print products i thought what a brilliant way to get back into my card making without the pressue of colouring up images so i bought a few of these cuties.

This one is called Fairy Catkins which was bought from here at LOTV

I used my Teresa Collins 12x12 Everyday Moments papers, Spellbinders dies, Marianne Design Dies, Memory box butterfly dies and a swirl cut from my silhouette portrait. (off which im having to get the hang of again as the software updates are so different from before!!)
Also used some Lace, ribbon, a flower and gems from my stash.

Thanks for stopping by and i hope to get back to posting regularly again.

I thought id enter a few challenges too..

(Its so lovely to see these challenge blogs still up and running after all my time away!)

Have a fab weekend everyone!

Just for Fun

Hi, I have been trying to post this card all day but got the pictures uploaded and then fell asleep!
I was up till 4am with Carrie. She was crying with ear ache. She has had problems with her ears and has grommets in so maybe to do with that. Anyway she had me up all night!

This card i made just for the fun of it and to play along with the Lili's Little Fairies Challenge which is ribbons, buttons and bows.
I have used "Pom Pom" and i have coloured her with my Promarkers.
The challenge at Simon says Stamp is to use your favorite tool. My favorite and most used is my Cuttlebug and another favorite of mine is my Ink Dusters from Inkylicious! Love them, they give such a even covering and so easy to use and most of the time i dont even need to ink them up as the ink leftover on them is enough for doing the edges. They have been my best crafty buy lately.

Card Recipe
Image - Lili of the valley, Pom Pom
Papers - Papermania capsule collection, Tim Holtz Spun sugar core-dinations.
Dies- Tim Holtz Vintage lace, Cheery Lynn's Fanciful Flourish, Nestibilitles Beaded oval and The tag was cut from my Cricut Plantin School Book Cart.
Embellishments - Flowers from WOC, ribbon/bows, lace, button, charm and gems all from my stash.

I would like to enter the following challenges;

4 Crafty Chicks - Flowers
Simon Says Stamp - Use fav tool - Cuttlebug and Inkylicious Ink Dusters!
Sir Stampalot - Happy Birthday
Really Reasonable Ribbon - Buttons and bows

Well thats all for now. I will be back in the morning with a new challenge from Crafty Calendar!
Hope you all have a lovely Easter Weekend!!
Hugs,

Spots and Stripes!

Hi, Today we woke up to the deepest snow i have seen for years! David went out to see if he would get his car out and it was up over his knees all the way along the road...he had no chance, totally snowed in! Its so beautiful to look at but the kids are out and in because the schools are all closed and there is wet clothes and boots everywhere! They are having great fun though! They are making a full size igloo later seemingly!
Anyway onto the card i made as i sat at my desk watching the snow get deeper and deeper! The sketch i followed is from the LOTV challenge blog. I love this image i have used, she looks so different every time i colour her with a different colour scheme! I have used Promarkers to colour her and the white i have used flocking, not that you can see much if it in the picture. The colour scheme came about from the Daring Cardmakers challenge, they are asking for Spots and Stripes. The DP is "Jolly Happy Xmas" from Dovecraft. I have also entered the Passion for Promarkers challenge. They have a challenge and a blog hop running for 2 weeks. The Theme is "Old and New". Well this card really fits the challenge, The flower i have on my card i have had since i started out card making a good few years back. So old it had lost the green leaves from the back of it! The new things is the DP's and the charm and chain. I have seen a few people use a few links of chain to dangle charms from lately but the first time i seen it was on Bev's blog, "All The Things I Love".  The Crafty Catz Challenge is "Christmas" and Stampin B's challenge is to make a holiday card and the Paper Cutz challenge is Anything Goes this week so i am entering these challenges too.

Heres is the links to all the challenge blogs;

Hope your all enjoying the snow..if you have any!

Transport the Baby!!

Hi, Hope your having a lovely weekend. The weather here is not too bad, suns out bit the wind is quite cold.
Here a card i made last night for a few differerent challenges. The image is one of my fav from LOTV , she is just so cute! I am hoping that a pram passes as a form of transport for the I love Promarkers challenge and also the Crafty Creations challenge too. Its all doodlebug papers on this card and the border is one cut from my cricut Storybook Cartridge. I use this cart so much, would be lost without it to be honest! The flowers are hand made as usual and the leaf is again from my storybook cartridge. The colour scheme was to fit with the challenge at Flutterby Wednesday where they are looking for pink along side the usual butterfly, fairy or angel.     I have used a few gems to give to some bling!
I loved the layout of this card, this was from the Papertake Weekly Challenge.
I am a big ribbon fan so use it on most cards but i refrained this time for a change, i think the border works great instead. I added my old favourite Glossy Accents to little areas on the image and to the border, flowers and butterfly but it doesnt show up in the photo which is a shame cos she has got little glossy boots and bow!
Heres the link to the challenges i have played along with;

Easel card!

Had a sleepless night as usual so was up making this card at 2am. I seem to be much more creative at that time of night! I also love the quietness..kids sleeping..just bliss!
 I love making easel cards, so simple but look great! I have also stuck to my favourite colours! I am entering the card into The Stamp Man challenge as the new challenge is easel cards. My image is from LOTV, one of my favourites and coloured with promarkers. I have embossed one of the layers under the image using my cuttlebug and floral folder, this fits with the challenge at "Our Creative corner".  I have used Acetate and made them stand out more by coating with Glossy Accents and sprinkled with MS Glitter and finished of with Pearls. The I love Promarkers challenge is Acetate so i am hoping the flowers will be enough to count! I really dont remember using acetate on cards since last Christmas, The DT cards over at I love Promarkers were amazing, gave me lots of ideas for next time! The challenges over at Flutter By Wednesday and Party Time Tuesday  is "Anything Goes".
Heres the list of Challenges and links to them;

Well Thanks for looking and i hope you enjoy the rest of the day. For me its a afternoon tackling the ironing pile! Not my Idea of fun, would rather me at my craft desk making cards!

Gone all Green!

 Here is another card that i made for some more challenges. I am on a roll now! Its great to have some time to get some crafting done but we are going away to the caravan on Friday morning and i have got nothing ready at all! Think i better get myself organised! Packing for 5 is not a 5 minute job, thats for sure!

I cut the card base using my Cricut and followed the sketch for Mojo Monday challenge. They gave the choice of circle or square so decided to go for the circle for a change from the usual square cards. The colour choice was to match the Passion for Promarkers challenge which is green. As with the chocolate card i made a few days ago, its not a colour i would pick out to use as the main colour but again i quite like it! The paper is Bo Bunny Island Mist and the patterned  floral paper is from Rico Design.
I am also going to enter the card into Pear Tree designs for the Birthday card challenge. This LOTV stamp is one of my favourites. She is so cute!

Here is the challenges that this card is entered into,

Thanks again for looking and i better get a move on and get packed for my week away!
Take Care

Lili of the Valley Challenge 54 - Sketch by Bev

Here is my very first entry for the LOTV sketch challenge.
I used a LOTV stamp coloured with promarkers. The paper is from K&co and the top layer is embossed using my cuttlebug and the swiss dots folder. I ruffled the ribbon to add some depth and used my Cricut and Story book cartridge for the corner swirls. The sentiment was stamped and added glossy accents and gems for some bling! My flowers are just a simple flower punch. These are favourite colours at the moment!
Thanks for looking!

For You!

I sat down tonight to tidy up my craft table and drawers but ended getting ideas from looking at all my stash that i forgot i had!! This is a LOTV stamp.. just love that one. The papers are "once upon a dream" from Best Creation Inc. I used pro markers to colour the image and a mixture of the cuttlebug and cricut for the frames and flowers. As for my craft drawers....even worse!
