Envelope card!

I have been meaning to post this card for a few days now but never got round to it so here is is! Its  envelope card followed by Lena Katrines Tutorial over at the Lili of the Valley Ideas to Inspire Blog. I love the way its turned out.
The image is Birthday Fairy from LOTV and i have coloured her with Promarkers. The papers are Pink Pettycoat Vintage Rose that came with the Quick Cards Magazine. I love the papers, they are just so pretty. I  inked every edge in Stormy Sky Distress ink. The flowers are a mixture of WOC and Papermania. I made my own hat pin using the pink beads and secured then in the back of the flowers. I used a organza ribbon and layered a narrow lace on top to add a bit more texture. The sentiment is from Digital Doodling and again i inked the edge with the Stormy Sky ink. The brad, charm, chain and gems are all from my st

In the picture below it shows the envelope card closed over. I made the fastener from buttons and a length of fibre to wrap around the button to keep it closed.
The next picture is just showing the inside of the card. I have kept this quite plain so you can write your  own message inside.
The sentiment in here is cut from my Cricut Wild Card Cartridge. The edges again have been inked in Stormy Sky distress ink.

My Favourite Colour.....well this week!

Hi, Hope everyone is having a lovely weekend. At last i finished painting the stairs and hall way, it took me weeks cos i started it then just have not felt well enough to finish it but i had to do it today...was really annoying me half done!

My card tonight is for the LOTV challenge which is "My Favourite Colours". I decided to go with my old faithful colour..pink.  The image is one of my favourites and have coloured her with promarkers. To add shine to her wings i have added glossy accents and glamour dust. My papers are doodlebug and Slice. The slice paper is full of glitter and shine and very slightly embossed. My flowers are Wild Orchid and Papermania and the leaves are a cricut cut from the pot pourri basket cartridge. I have also added a few stems with crystals on at each side of the flowers. To add a bit more shine i added gems and a hat pin. The ribbon was found at the bottom of my ribbon box...think its a never ending box and the ribbon seems to multiply every time i open it!!

Heres the link to all the challenges i would like to enter;

Craft Us Crazy Monthly Sponsor - The Cutting Cafe!

Good morning, its a very early morning as i write this post...cant sleep so thought i would get this card posted.

The Cutting Cafe is one of the amazing monthly sponsors over at Craft Us Crazy. We were very kindly offered a set of printable stamps from The owner, Regina. The Craft Us Crazy DT have been creating all different projects to inspire you during the month of February.

I chose to use the printable set called "This Cake is All Hearts". It was really blown away by what i received, you have so many different options from just the one printable set. If you haven't already then pop over, there is something for every occasion.
I decided to use the large black and white coloured cake. I cut out 2 of the cake shapes and attached at the top so i could make a step card.  The ruffled ribbon on the cake was done by running a stitch along the length and then pull to gather it all up. At the top of the card i cut out 4 hearts at descending sizes, folded them in half and attached then from the fold to create a 3D effect, looks better in real life than it does on the picture. The sentiment came with the set, you get lots of them to choose from too! I added silver gems, pin and heart and key charms to the ribbon to finish it off.

A big thanks to The Cutting Cafe for providing me with the printable set!
I had lots of fun using this set and thank you for looking!

Remember our "Winter" Challenge is running right now and you have until Wednesday 2nd March.
Hugs,

Teddy Bea in Pink!

Hi, This is going to be a quick post tonight, got so much to do! This little Criss Cross pocket card was made for the Teddy Bo challenge which is "In the Pink" this time. I have coloured her in with Promarkers.  The paper i used is K&Co Amy Butler Belle Pink Acanthus. I have stitched the inside card and the border on the front with silver thread. I had to handsew it this time because i couldnt keep my sewing machine going in a straight line!! Yes it was all the machines fault....nothing to do with me not taking my time!! (well maybe that had something to do with it)
This was really simple and easy to make. The bow and gems are out my stash.

Here are the list of challenges i am entering with my criss cross card.

I used my snowflake embossing folder to cover the main card base and right behind the images. How Adorable??

I have had this card made since yesterday but my laptop decided to have a day off! I have had to reinstall all the drivers...Grrr!
This card was made for the Sugar Bowl challenge, the sketch this week was fab and we had the optional extra of the picture inspiration....

I just used the colours really for my card..mostly white with little blue!
The image is obviously the adorable Joy and she is coloured with Promarkers. I love these in Digi format because i was able to make the image smaller than i usually would use it to fit my space.
I embossed the layers with the swirls embossing folder and kept it pretty simple. The flower is a handmade one and the swirl is a cut form the Story Book Cartridge. I have used 2 kinds of ribbon, the sheer and the narrow silk. I have used them one on top of another to give it a different look and then with the bow i used the silk to twist down in spirals. I think this has turned out really well. The gems charm and chain are from my stash.

Here is a list of challenges that i am entering this card into!

Lets Go Fly a Kite!

Today we had all kinds of weather! It started with wind and rain then at lunch time we had snow. It was too wet for it to lie thankfully! Late afternoon the sun came out for a while. I can cope with any weather but please not snow!!
Today i have made a card following the Friday Sketchers latest sketch. Its a fab one too, loved working with the sketch. I have used one of my hAnglar stamps. I used Promarkers and he was a dream to colour. The colours scheme came from the "Fab and Funky" challenge which is Chocolate and Blue. The paper i use was just a sheet i found in the pile of 12x12's i have and not sure where its from! I embossed the brown layer with the Swiss Dots Cuttlebug folder and the same with the white fame under the stamp. The stars, frame, circles and scallop corners were all cut using my Cricut cartridge, Plantin schoolbook. The ribbon is running through eyelets at each side of the frame. I have added a touch of Crackle Accents to the stars and scalloped corners for a change of texture. I added a couple of MME buttons to finish off.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges;

Hello my name is Regina Easter. I have 4 wonderful children and an awesome supportive husband. I have for as long as I can remember loved all the aspects of creating things with paper and drawing. So it was only fitting that I decided to open up The Cutting Cafe' and I am loving every bit of this new venture. The Cutting Cafe'offers affordable Printable Stamps and Cutting Files. The Cutting Files which are basically just like templates are files that you Print out using your home printer, Cut, Assemble and then Embellish.....Very Easy.....The Cutting Files also come in the format where you can cut out the files using some of the latest Machine Cutters like the Pazzles Inspiration, Bosskut Gazelle and Cricut (with Scal software). The Printable Stamps are just that, images that are sent to you through email that you print out using your home printer. After the images are printed out, you can just color them in like you would any other stamped imaged...One great thing about the Printable Stamps and Cutting Files is that you no longer have to worry about finding space to store all of your stamps....You can keep them all in a folder in your computer and use over and over again.

I started my business in 1993 to give me something to do. I had worked all my life and recently quit to be a stay at home mom to my new baby. I've always been interested in paper products and I didn't like paying full price for some of the things I wanted. So I started my business. I like to pass my savings on to others. I've made some really good friends over the years. I've always been a small business I only advertise word of mouth. Over the years I've kept as busy as I wanted to be.
It has been very interesting to see the hobby industry change over the years. I had a "scrapbook" store in my basement before Las Vegas knew what a scrapbook store was. I've dealt with Provo Craft the entire 18 years I've been in business and that has been fun, to watch them change!!   The Cricut Messageboard has allowed me to expand my business but still do it "word of mouth".
That baby is almost 18 (March) and will be graduating HS in 2011, I will be ready to be busier at that time! She uses my supplies more then I do, I have decided I'm a collector of everything. I have more fun selling and helping others then I do creating. Maybe someday, when times are slower or I'm not being a "Taxi Mom" I can create. Until then, I collect!

Please pop over to the Craft Us Crazy Challenge blog and see what the other super talented DT members have created for you...what a talented lot they are!
I am looking forward to visiting your blogs to see your Craft Us Crazy entries....Happy Crafting!!

Love, Love, Love!!!

Hi, I have been trying to get on here to get this card posted for a few days but i seem to get distracted with one thing or another!!
This card was initially made for the Just Magnolia and hAnglar Challenge which is Going Dotty. I decided to combine it with a valentines theme because there are so many "love" or "Valentines" challenges out there this week.
My hAnglar image is coloured in with Promarkers. She is so cute holding onto her heart! The spotty paper is from Claire Curds "the big one" paper pack that i have had for such a long time and still have not got through it all! I ran a running stitch up the length of ribbon and then pulled to gather it in. I decided to set the sentiment in between a few hearts which i glazed with Glossy Accents and sprinkled with Glamour Dust. The flowers, charms and gems are from my stash and the swirl under the flowers is cit from my story Book Cartridge

Here is th elong list of challenges i am entering this into this week!
