Look who is back..its DAISY!!!!

Well i am so excited to be posting this card, not so much the card but the stamp! Yes, Daisy is back and after a few years of constantly being outbid on e-bay, i have her!
As some of you will remember Daisy, who was illustrated by Elisabeth Bell, started of as a Sugar Nellie stamp.
She was very popular but was discontinued and since then crafter's have been searching for her.....Well search no more, she is back and can be bought from Elphine House Australia! If she is not in the store yet she will be very very soon so keep checking so you dont miss out. She will be going like hotcakes!

Isnt she just adorable! I could colour her all day long! I am thinking you might see a lot of her on my blog from now on. I coloured her with promarkers and inked the edges with Stormy Sky distress ink.
The sketch i followed is from The Sweet Shop. I love their sketches and use them lots!
My papers are yes, you guessed my favourite faithful pad Vintage Shabby by Tim Holtz, i hate to cut lovely  papers but they too nice to keep in my drawer.  My flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts, gems, ribbon, bakers twine are from my stash. I made the two pins that are sitting in the knot myself. The vines.leaves are from my Cricut Potpourri cartridge.

Below is my little Daisy up close and personal! Isnt she a cutie! If you think the same and want her here is the link the the Elphine House Australia store.
Over at My Mums Craft Shop the challenge is to be inspired by a song, well as soon as i got the stamp in the door this song has been stuck in my head..you will be glad you cant hear my awful singing but the words are;
Daisy, Daisy give me your answer do.
                                I'm half crazy all for the love of you.
 It won't be a stylish marriage,
   I can't afford a carriage.
       But you'll look sweet,
               Upon the seat, Of a bicycle made for two!!

Just a reminder that we also have got our Elphine House Australia Challenge Blog up and running and our current challenge is called "Tasty Treats"

Good Morning! What a horrible day. The weather here in Scotland is raining and cold and just to make the day even more misserable i have the dentist today for my Root Canal Treatment...i hate dentists, i am terrified and would rather have my eyes poked with needles than have to go..but i have made my mind up that i am going to be brave and just go and get it over with...watch this space!

Anyway, Its that time again for another Elphine House Australia Challenge!!

The theme this time is............

"Tasty Treats"
This might be a teat bag, a recipe card, a choc gift box or just a card with a "tasty" image on there!

For the challenge this time i have made a recipe Birthday Card. I followed the sketch from Crafting Lifes Pieces Challenge but the layer behind the image i put the recipe on and made it so it just lifts out.

This image is called "Daisy Hugging Dolly" and i coloured her with Promarkers.

A Pen Friend!!

Well its been another nice day here in Scotland. Not just as warm as the past few days but still sunny and dry! The kids are back to school tomorrow and i must say...thank god!!

Tonight i have made a card with one of my favourite images from Elisabeth Bell. I must admit i love all her images, they are all so sweet and a joy to colour. Over on the Belles and Whistles Challenge blog they have a sketch to follow. Its a great sketch to leave plain or dress it right up, i have dressed it up a bit but you cans till see the sketch clearly.
I have left the comfort zone a bit tonight! I have distressed all the edges of the card stock and DP's. I am not big on distressing, i do like the look but i felt mine always looked like a dog had chewed it! Anyway once i put the card together i really liked it and i am not so afraid of my distress tool now!
The image was coloured with Promarkers and little bits of Glossy Accents and glitter added here and there. The papers are "Lush" from MME and doily from Ribbon Box. The charm is made from scratch using beads, pins and chain made at different lengths. I think it works well and a nice change from my usual charms.
I printed the sentiment which says "A note for my friend.." and the rest of the supplies are from my stash.
I am entering this card into the following challenges;

Paper Sundaes - Favourite hair colour combo (i used Promarkers - Sandstone, Caramel and the blending pen also a inktense pencil in shaded areas - willow)
Totally Gorjuss - 123 - i used 1 image, 2 ribbons (cream and brown) and 3 DP's.
Lexis Creation - Friendship
Craft Your Passion - Anything Goes
Papertake Weekly - Anything Goes
Tip Top Tuesday - Open challenge

Thats all for now! Hope you enjoy the rest of the week. Thanks for reading and for all the much appreciated comments.

My Favourite Colour.....well this week!

Hi, Hope everyone is having a lovely weekend. At last i finished painting the stairs and hall way, it took me weeks cos i started it then just have not felt well enough to finish it but i had to do it today...was really annoying me half done!

My card tonight is for the LOTV challenge which is "My Favourite Colours". I decided to go with my old faithful colour..pink.  The image is one of my favourites and have coloured her with promarkers. To add shine to her wings i have added glossy accents and glamour dust. My papers are doodlebug and Slice. The slice paper is full of glitter and shine and very slightly embossed. My flowers are Wild Orchid and Papermania and the leaves are a cricut cut from the pot pourri basket cartridge. I have also added a few stems with crystals on at each side of the flowers. To add a bit more shine i added gems and a hat pin. The ribbon was found at the bottom of my ribbon box...think its a never ending box and the ribbon seems to multiply every time i open it!!

Heres the link to all the challenges i would like to enter;

Hope you enjoy the rest of the weekend and thanks for popping by!

Love, Love, Love!!!

Hi, I have been trying to get on here to get this card posted for a few days but i seem to get distracted with one thing or another!!
This card was initially made for the Just Magnolia and hAnglar Challenge which is Going Dotty. I decided to combine it with a valentines theme because there are so many "love" or "Valentines" challenges out there this week.
My hAnglar image is coloured in with Promarkers. She is so cute holding onto her heart! The spotty paper is from Claire Curds "the big one" paper pack that i have had for such a long time and still have not got through it all! I ran a running stitch up the length of ribbon and then pulled to gather it in. I decided to set the sentiment in between a few hearts which i glazed with Glossy Accents and sprinkled with Glamour Dust. The flowers, charms and gems are from my stash and the swirl under the flowers is cit from my story Book Cartridge

Here is th elong list of challenges i am entering this into this week!
http://simonsaysstampandshow.blogspot.com/ - Show some love!

Thanks as always for visiting and leaving such lovely comments!!

Two cuties on a stroll!

Hi This is just a quick post. Its 3am and i cant sleep so thought i would post the card i made earlier.
The image is a new Bildmalarna "Little Winged Friends "stamp which i got from Dies to Die For, its called "On Walk" It is absolutely adorable and just love them. I coloured it with Promarkers and have dotted glossy accents on the flowers and leaves.
The sketch i followed is from Friday Sketchers, its a fab sketch! My 2 papers are from a Docrafts pack called Honey and Hugs. The border is cut from my Cricut Story Book Cartridge and i have layered it with Glossy Accents and sprinkled it all with Glamour Dust. The photo doesnt to it justice, it looks great IRL.
The flowers are a mix of papermania ones and a handmade one. The leaves are from the Story Book Cartridge and again covered in Glossy Accents and Glamour Dust. The sentiment is one from a free pack that i got in a magazine! I coloured the hearts and gave it the same treatment of glossy accents and glamour dust!  The lace, charm, pin and gems are from my stash.

Heres the challenges i am entering with the card;

Thanks for visiting and having a look about!

Not a flower in sight!!

Hi, I hope you are all having a lovely lazy Sunday! I dont know where the day has went, got up tidied up and before i noticed it was 3pm!
Here is a LOTV card with one of their new stamps. How cute are these images?! I just love their little feet dangling crossed over....too cute! I coloured them in with promarkers. The sentiment comes with the image.
The sketch i followed is from the LOTV challenge this week. Its a fab sketch and is a good one for keeping it simple which is the challenge for the I love Promarkers challenge! I found it so hard to keep my hand out my flowers pot! Not even a gem or swirl in sight either. I used 3 buttons and the ribbon...thats it! The papers are from the Daisy and Dandelion pad that i have had for ages and its lay at the bottom of my drawer. Its got some good matching papers in there. I have also inked the edges very slightly with Dusty Concord distress ink.

This is the challenges i want to enter this card into;
http://ilovepromarkers.blogspot.com/ - Keep it sweet and simple
http://simonsaysstampandshow.blogspot.com/ - Polka Dots - (I was 10 mins too late!!)
http://mytimetocraftchallenge.blogspot.com/ - Spots/dots (Paper and Swiss dots embossed layer)

Thanks again for looking and for the kind comments that you leave each time. It really is appreaciated!
