Well i hope you have all had a excellent Christmas! Here in Scotland we are just at the end of boxing day but i know most of my teamies from EHA are well into Thursday. I was trying to get this post done last night (Christmas night) but Carrie and the boys were getting toys and things out boxes, play with them etc so the laptop got set aside to have time with the kids.

Back at Last!

Hi

Well i am back at last! Carrie got a cancellation date for her surgery on the 13th December but she had a chest infection the week running up to it so had to keep her off school to try and get her better and keep her away from getting the sickness bugs that are going around. She catches everything because of her Immune Suppressant meds. We managed to get her chest clear and no bugs caught but Carrie cant to anything without there being a drama! While under anesthetic her oxygen levels dropped and needed to have them breath for her for a while. As she woke up a bit more they changed her onto the oxygen mask which was on until she picked up. They have no idea why this happened, they did a chest x ray which was clear.

Anyway i just wanted to pop by with my latest creation.
I made this for Carrie just before she went into hospital. Its a wall hanging and has a matching desk tidy.
Here it is...

Papers - old ones i got years back so unknown.
Dies/Punches - Fiskers scallop punch, Tim Holtz Rosette die, Butterfly Punch also Cuttlebug Swiss Dots Embossing folder.
Embellishments - Pink tulle, buttons and gems and bakers twine.

 Here is close up ...

This is the wall hanging and the desk tidy...
Carrie was over the moon with them both.

I am going to enter this into a few challenges...

Well thats leaves just one more thing.....
Merry Christmas to everyone and i hope 2013 is a fabulous year for you all!
Thanks for all the lovely comments you have left over this last year, i appreciate it so much!
Take Care,

Crafty Calendar Challenge - White Christmas

I hope you have all had a lovely weekend. As i write this post we have heavy snow falling outside, its been falling since around 9pm and looks like near a couple of inches and still coming! Because of the snowfall we have had the past few years the schools all have "Severe Weather Procedures" arranged so the kids have online course work and communication via email/internet. We live in a small village so the high schools are about 5/6miles away which mean kids going on the bus run but in bad weather they stop running.
We have also been getting ready for Christmas this weekend. We have got the tree up and got all our Christmas ornaments out. I love sitting in the quiet with the tree lights and some candles on! Bliss!

Anyway enough snow talk! I am here with my card for Crafty Calendar Challenge! The theme this time   is "White Christmas" (very appropriate if i may say so considering the weather we have tonight!)

Here is my card!

I am really loving the new Digi Stamps from Wee Stamps....think i have a "wee" addiction at the moment! This image is called  Angelica. You must check out the other digis over there, they are fab. She is coloured with promarkers and i tried out faux snow using my white pen and glossy accents with white glitter.

My papers are "Home for Christmas" from Papermania with kraft cardstock.
The dies used are spellbinders scalloped circles, snowflake and mistletoe vine is cut from my Cricut Expression with Potpourri Cartridge.
Flowers from Wild Orchid Craft, ribbon, jute and charm from stash and                                                       sentiment was in a freebie with a magazine i think.

Thats me for now. I have not had much sleep tonight, well none so far and its 5am. Still fighting with this illness and lack of sleep is getting to me.
Please pop over to Crafty Calendar Challenge, check out the girls DT cards and let us see your White Christmas projects....we love to see your creations and you might even be the winner of our prize from Crafty Sentiments!

Have a great Monday!

Very Berry!

Hello! I hope you have all had a great day. We were at my daughters dancing class show. It was really good and was very proud to see her up there. When she was younger she was beyond shy. At nursery she went well over her first year without saying a single word! The more it went on the harder it got for her. She has then had a lot of health issues and is on immune suppressants for Auto Immune Liver Disease and is also waiting on her grommets to be re inserted for 3rd time and adenoids removed again. Her adenoids have grown back a few times now which is caused by her medication.... Anyway needless to say to have her up on that stage was a big deal for her and us!

So i am here tonight with a Christmas card i made just for fun. I had seen this digi stamp, Berry from Wee Stamps , and had to buy her! She is just gorgeous!
Card Recipe
Papers - Dovecraft , Jolly Merry Christmas
Dies/ Embellishements - Fences' and mistletoe leaves from Cricut Potpourri Catridge, Lantern from Christmas Noel Cartridge. Spellbinders classic circles and scallop circles.

The theme this time is...

Distressed in Stitches!
Add some distressing and stitching..faux or real!

Cute as a Pie!

Hello! Hope your enjoying your week so far.
I am here to post this card that i made yesterday. I have used another of Elisabeth Bells digi stamps called "Apple Bake"! How cute is she!?

A few weeks ago i promised to myself i am trying to make good use of my poor neglected Cricut Expression so today I cut the swirly frame i used on my card from the Storybook Cartridge. There is quite a lot of great cuts on that cartridge.
Has anyone manged to connect their Cricut machine to the internet for the Craft room? I have downloaded the drivers, followed lots of instructions on the trouble shooter and still not luck. Cant work it out at all so any advise you have would be appreciated!

Anyway back to my card. Here is the recipe,
Papers - My Minds Eye Lost and Found 2
Dies/punches - Cricut storybook cartridge for swirl frame. spellbinders classic circles, Cheery Lynn Fanciful flourish.
Embellishments - Flowers from Wild Orchid Craft, Tulle and pearls from Hobbycraft.
Sentiment - Freebie from a craft magazine.

There is a few fab challenges i am going to enter this into...

Have a great night. I will be back late on tonight with my Elphine House Australia challenge card as it goes live at 9am  Australian time which is 11pm here in the UK.

Have a great night!

Pink and Girly!

Hi, Well i am so glad to be here with a card...its been over a week since my last posting and since then i have had a bit of a rotten week. I seem to get 2 steps forward with my health and 1 back. As well as the Auto immune blood issue my Kidney disease has been playing up then just to put the cherry on the cake my laptop crashed and is totally gone..died! I hadnt backed up the laptop in past 10 months so all my Digi stamps, photos, Sponsor badges for the CCC blog, My Memories files and all my blog designs...the list goes on and they are all gone! I could cry everytime i think about it. We have a friend who is amazing with computers but he has been working hard this week so will catch him next week and see if he can save anything at all from it. If any of you have any ideas how to retrieve any of it please let me know!!!

Anyway here i am on one of our netbooks. Its strange because its so small but works all the same.
I decided to have a break from Christmas cards and make a pink girly card.
I keep leaving my poor Cricut Expression out of the action and i do have some good cartridges so i dusted of the cobwebs and got cuttting. The decorative frame in my card is from the Potpourri cartridge which i quite like.
.

 Card Recipe
Stamp - Magnolia Tilda With a Small Gift!
Papers - All leftover bits from my stash..clearing out!!
Dies - Cricut Potpourri cartridge, Spellbinders Beaded Oval, Marianne Design Tag.
Other Embellishments - Flowers from Wild Orchid Craft, Tulle, gems and charm from stash.

Its Raining Leaves...all over my garden!

Hi, Hope you are having a good week so far. The kids are off school this week....again! They have a holiday just about every month, it seems like a lot more this year but i must admit i enjoy not having the morning rush and early get ups!

Today i was standing watching out the window and the leaves are now falling from the really massive oversized, overgrown, out of control  tree that is in our neighbours garden. It reaches and falls over the side of our house and garden..meaning we have all his leaves to pick up and his garden is leaf free!! It Does get frustrating, there were are out filling bag after bag of leaves and he is standing there with not a care. The tree really needs seen by a professional to cut it back or even better down altogether. Anyway enough moaning a about a tree!!!
I was looking through my digi stamps and decided to use this Elisabeth Bell digital stamp. Its just like us trying to catch the falling leaves from the tree. I also thought the tree charm just fitted in with this card so well.

She is called "Li'l Janiels Harvest"

Card Recipe
Papers - Minds Eye Lost and Found 2
Dies/punches - Martha Stewart Punch Around The Page lace punch, Cheery Lynn's Fanciful Flourish
Embellishments - Flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts, Tulle and lace from Hobbycraft, Gems, Charm and organza ribbon from stash.

Here is a closer view of  Lil Janiel!
 I am going to enter into these following challenges;
Stampalot Challenge - Punch away...I have used my Martha Stewart PATP punch.

I am now off to try and catch a few hours sleep but i am still not sleeping very well so even a hour would be great!
Have a great day!
