A Christmas Princess

Good Morning,
Hope you are all well! Welcome to my new followers!! I will get arounf to visit your blogs soon!

I had such a lovely holiday and had a very busy few days since getting home! My Mum has just got a new house and is moving next week so we are packing and getting her all ready. She is having to move to a house all on the flat as she has been falling down the stairs a lot due to her Brain Tumour removal op. Its going to be hard for her as she has been in this same house for 35 years and we were all brought up there but her health comes first.

Anyway, today i am have shared my card on the Sugar Nellie Blog, not my usual day but we swapped about to give me a few days extra after my holiday which was well appreciated!

Yes, its my very first Christmas card of the year! I have been trying to get my Xmas cards started months but never got round to it till now!
I decided to use this gorgeous Sugar Nellie WInter Wonders Princess for my card. I have used her before for a non Christmas card so this stamp is so versatile.

You can buy this Princess here from the Funky Kits Store!!

I have used Promarkers and Polychromos Pencils to colour my stamp. My papers are "Rose Tinted Christmas" from DCWV.
My dies are Sizzix Thinlets Doily and border set.
The Snowflakes Dies are from Marianne Design aswell as the Flourishes.
I have embellished with some ribbon, Lace a flourish of gems and
touches of Glamour Dust!

Just a wee date for your diary....Saturday 2nd August from 10am is the Furry Friends Blog Hop starting over at the Sugar Nellie Blog! I hope you can join us....some gorgeous new animal digi's coming your way!!

Thanks very much for stopping by!

Merry Christmas & EBW Snowflakes and Lace

Merry Christmas everyone! As this post goes live i hope to be sitting with my family having our Christmas dinner and playing with the kids.
I have had one awful week heading up to today. On Monday i had to go into hospital to have a blood transfusion. I was in all day from morning until early evening and by the time i was onto my second bag of blood i was feeling really strange and developed a bit of a temp. I started to feel a bit better on Tuesday morning but i think i expected the transfusion to make me feel normal again but i was maybe expecting to much!

Anyway enough about me. On the 25th of each month we have a new Elisabeth Bells World Challenge set and this month is no exeption. This is when the schedule post feature comes in rather handy!

The theme this month is Snowflakes and Lace!
I decided to use Elisabeth Bell for SCACD "Waiting For..." Peekers stamp but i made the scene outside the window into a snowy scene. I have only ever used it, or seen it used as a sunny scene so it was good fun making it "snow".

Materials
Image coloured by Promarkers and Flexmarkers
Papers - MME Chalk Studio
Dies - Marianne Design Tree and everything else cut from my Silhouette Machine
Embellishments - Lace, ribbon, silver stud gems and beads from Hobbycraft. I made the pin myself. I also used Tim Holtz Hard Rock Candy Distress Glitter with my glue pad.

When you have time why not pop over to the Elisabeth Bells World Challenge Blog and check out the other DT creations...you wont be dissapointed!!
Well thats me for today! I hope you all have the most amazing Christmas day with lots of lovely family time!
Take care and Hugs,

Cold and Frosty!

Hello, Hope your enjoying your weekend! We had some snow here yesterday but only a thin covering on the ground which melted away after a hours or two as it turned to rain.

I have been having such a great time with my new Silhouette Portrait! I had the Cricut Expression but i hardly used it. I felt Cricut has really limited what we can do with the machines so i packed it all up and sold it.
I cannot believe what these machine can do! I reserched it before i bought it but even so, i am still finding new things to do on it. I upgraded to the Designer Edition of the software and have already made a few simple cutting files. I cant believe the difference between this and the Cricut...the Silhouette machines put Cricut to shame. Well in my opinion. I know everyone has their own favourites.

Anyway here is am with my card for the Crafty Calendar Challenge that started this morning.
The theme this month is...

Glitter, Glitter Everywhere!!

Hello! At last i am here! I have had such a full on day. It was my Mums birthday today so i spent a lot of time with her but also had my monthly hospital appointment and just to finish it off i have got awful toothache from Root Treatment that has gone wrong! The pain is driving me craz! Going to get it sorted tomorrow hopefully!
My hospital appointment was not great. Blood Count still low, at 95 today and the usual list of abnormal results to go with it. Thats my middle name.....Unusual! Nothing just goes to plan or as it should!

On a happier note my Mum had a lovely birthday. We went and had a photo shoot done of all the grandkids and got one of the photos blown up and framed for her. She started to cry when she opened it!!

Anyway today starts the new challenge at I Love Promarkers!
This weeks its "All That Glitters"
I got my Glamour Dust Glitter out along with Star Dust Stickles and also my Tim Holtz Distress Clear Rock Candy Glitter! It was everywhere and still see glimmers of it on all over my craft desk!

My image is from Art By Miran! I just came across her store on Etsy as i was looking for some new Christmas images. She has got loads of amazing digi stamps but also prints and cool blottletop magnets etc. Well worth a look!! I love this image, perfect for the glitter challenge as well as colouring!

I thought for my posts for I Love Promarkers i would list what colours of Promarkers i use on my images instead of a list of materials.
Skin - Blush, Soft Peach, Pale Pink and touch of Sunkissed Pink
Hair - Sandstone, Caramel and Burnt Sienna
Clothes - Pastel Blue, Powder Blue and Denim Blue, Cool Grey 1 (on white under glitter)

On the photo below you can see how i used my Goosebumps Shimmer Spray over my image. I sprayed from a distance to make the droplets smaller to look like snow. It also has a lovely texture to it when you rub your fingers over it!

Hi, at last here i am! Well its 4am on Wednesday morning and due to our typical British weather i couldnt get online. Yesterday, Tuesday, I spent the day watching Sky News to watch our new prince come out of the hospital doors to head home. I was also hoping they would announce his name but not so far. Very Berry!

Hello! I hope you have all had a great day. We were at my daughters dancing class show. It was really good and was very proud to see her up there. When she was younger she was beyond shy. At nursery she went well over her first year without saying a single word! The more it went on the harder it got for her. She has then had a lot of health issues and is on immune suppressants for Auto Immune Liver Disease and is also waiting on her grommets to be re inserted for 3rd time and adenoids removed again. Her adenoids have grown back a few times now which is caused by her medication.... Anyway needless to say to have her up on that stage was a big deal for her and us!

So i am here tonight with a Christmas card i made just for fun. I had seen this digi stamp, Berry from Wee Stamps , and had to buy her! She is just gorgeous!
Card Recipe
Papers - Dovecraft , Jolly Merry Christmas
Dies/ Embellishements - Fences' and mistletoe leaves from Cricut Potpourri Catridge, Lantern from Christmas Noel Cartridge. Spellbinders classic circles and scallop circles.

Embellishemnts - Flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts, Tulle and gems from stash. Also white glitter on lantern and fence.
