Craft US Crazy Challenge DT Card - Flowers or Mothers Day!

Hi, Sorry i am running a bit late with this post....intended to go out for a hours early this morning and never made until 5.30! If you want to know how to waste a day dittering around craft shops i'm the person to ask!

Anyway i am here to tell you about the new Craft Us Crazy challenge that started today! The theme this time round is Mothers Day or Flowers. I know us here in the Uk have already celebrated mothers day so you can just get those flowers out and show us what you can do!

Now onto my card. Meljens generously donated a image to the DT for us to use for the challenge. I decided on this baby image and use it as a "mums First Mothers Day" card. The image was coloured with promarkers. The papers were just loose ones that i had lying in my drawer waiting to be used! The flowers are WOC, Sizzix Die for the Swirls, Seam binding also from WOC and the rest my supplies are out my stash. The sentiment was computer generated.

I must not forget to mention the Monthly Sponspr this month which is The Cutting cafe!

The top 3 from each challenge this month will be put into a draw and one of them will win a fab prize from The Cutting Cafe!

Call Me!!

Hi, What another beautiful day it was here in Scotland again! This weather is just amazing..hope it lasts! Well as you might notice if you have been here before i have had a little blog makeover! Not sure about this background yet so it might change again but loving the 3 columns to work with. Saves scrolling down forever to find things!

I have a card to share that i made the other night. Over at the Sugar Bowl the challenge this time is a sketch along with the theme of Buttons so had to enter.

I have used a Simply Sassy stamp called "Call Me" and coloured her with my promarkers.

The papers are from a Papermania Capsule pad that i bought not long ago. Its got lovely basic papers in it such as spots, stripes and checked. The fancy frame is from my Cricut Pot pourri cartridge.

My flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the leaves are again from the pot pourri and inked with yellow ink the tie in with the yellow in the image.

The sentiment reads "miss taking to you" and is from the wild card cartridge. The ribbon, glittery gems, buttons and hat pin are all from my stash.

Simply Create Challenge DT Card - Metal Challenge!

Morning, Today is the start of another new challenge from Simply Create! Where has the last 2 weeks went??

The theme for this challenge is ....METAL!

The challenge is sponsored by the amazing Dude Time Doodles from Bonibleaux Designs! 

They are giving the winner of the challenge a fab prize of a $10 gift certificate!!

All the design team were lucky enough to have been given a choice of images to use for our projects. Unfortunately my printer decided it was going to play up so i have had to use a image that i had for now but i will bring you a card with a Bonibleaux design image as soon as i can!

Onto my card. As most of you know, masculine cards are just not my favourite thing to do but i wanted to keep it a masculine theme as the other DT girls were using the Dude Time Doodles images. It was a challenge  but got there in the end!

I used one of my hanglar and stanglar stamps that i got from ebay a while back and coloured it with promarkers. The paper is Lost and Found but MME. For the challenge i have used a metal chain which is attached to the fabric sentiment, eyelets and gromlets. I followed the sketch from I love to stamps April sketch challenge. I have shown it below.

Tea Light Box - Tilda

Good morning! This is just a quick post to get my little tea light box that i made while away in the caravan posted. I kind of made it up as i went and it worked out well. I have a friends birthday coming up who loves Black, Pink and White. 

The paper is from Theresa Collins and is double sided. I used both sides on this box. I am nearly finished that design so must buy more. Her papers are all beautiful. The Tilda image is coloured with Promarkers and a prisma pencil for some shading. The inside has a tag tucked inside the pocket on the left hand side and has "Happy Birthday To You" on the tag. I forgot to take a photo of that! The flowers are from WOC and swirls are a Marianne Design Die. The ribbons and charm are from my stash.

Craft us Crazy Challenge - Thinking of you sentiment/animals!

Hi, hope you are all having a lovely weekend so far! I am so sorry that this post is late but i was away for 5 days in the caravan and had a post schedules but its gone missing in cyber space! 

Anyway there is a new challenge up at Craft Us Crazy this week! The theme this time round is...

Thinking of You sentiment and/or animals

What fab prizes! Anyway onto my DT card for the challenge. As i said before we were given a fab image to use from Robyns fetish and i have used "Bunny With Parasol". Such a adorable image!

I used my MS punch around the page set to create the topper part of the card and also the border along the bottom. The paper is one i have had in my stash for a while so not at all sure what its called. The flowers are from WOC as always and the swirl is my Marianne Design die. My image is coloured with Promarkers and  have added a little glossy accents here and there. The sentiment is a personal expressions clear stamp from a set and the rest of the materials used are from my stash.

Craft Us Crazy - Stamp Fairy Project!!

Good Morning! As you read this i will be on my way for a few days in the caravan with David and the kids. I am really looking forward to getting away just for a change of scenery and recharging of the batteries....they are on low power right now!! I am all packed, including all my crafty stash and cuttlebug in tow, ready to leave first thing! I will be back on Friday at some point to catch up!

Simply Create Challenge..Its All about Eggs!

Today brings the new challenge over at Simply Create! What amazing DIY projects we seen last week, so much talent out there!

This fortnights challenge is....All About Eggs!! You can interpret this theme any way you wish. we love to see all kind of projects from LO, cards, altered items...you name it!! 

Here is my DT card...

I decided to make a tent type card with lots of layers on it. The papers are MME Lost and Found. I really love these papers, this one is full on Bling!

I used a hAnglar stamp and coloured with Promarkers. I also added Glossy Accents and Glamour Dust to the egg she is holding. The fence and vines/leaves are from my Cricut Pot-pourri cartridge and inked with Tea Dye Distress ink very lightly. The eggs on the front are just clip art coloured and cut and the sentiment was computer generated. My flowers are as always from WOC.

In the photo below you can see the layers a bit better. Its not anything like the idea in my head when i started but i like it just the same! 

 

I have not been about much this week as i have not been well. I had a sickness bug along with the flu and now i have Sinusitis! I have been put on Steroids and Antibiotics so i am hoping they kick in soon as the pain in my head and face is driving me to distraction...what a horrible pain it causes!
