The First of Many....

Hi, Hope you enjoyed your weekend! I had quiet weekend, didnt do much at all. I did manage to get a card done. Its much harder to get crafting time with kids on holiday. I usually have a few hours while they are at school and then post my card at night but not getting time to do it as much. By the time the kids are settled into bed i just want to collapse too, my blood count down so thats not helping the energy levels at all.

Anyway i have made my very first Christmas card for this year! Carrie though i was going mad with she came in and seen a Xmas card sitting. So asked me if i knew what month it was!! I told her that i am starting early so i can give out all handmade Christmas cards to which she replied.."Mum, you say that every year and you will just end up buying cards anyway!" Unfortunately she is so right!

Here is the first of many Xmas cards...

Card Recipe
Image - Nellie Snellen, Hokey Pokey coloured with Promarkers.
Papers - Bo Bunny (cant remember name of pad but will add it later)
Dies - Marianne Design Snowflakes dies
Embellishments - Feather, gems, tulle, lace from stash and the pins i made myself using clear beads.
The snowflakes are also Covered in Jones Tones Glitter.

 Here is another few views of my card...

I would also like to enter into the following challenges -
Addicted to Stamps - Xmas in July
Hiding in my Craft Room - Xmas in July
Crafty Catz - All the Glitters (snowflakes glittery and the stars on image)

Thats all from me just now. Thanks for popping by and hope you have a lovely start to the week! I am off to get some DT work done...well if i get peace from kids that is!!

Gift of Love!

Hope you are all looking forward to the weekend.  I would love to see some sun here in Scotland as its rained most of the past few weeks. Its not cold but very very wet. We have got Davids Dads 60th party tonight but i am not sure if i am fit to go. Dont think i have the energy to get ready never mind be there! Was at GP again and my blood count has dropped again, still iron deficient and just fed up with it. I have never felt exhaustion like this ever. Anyway enough moaning!

I am here to show the latest stamp i got in my DT packet from Elphine House Australia this week.
She is called
 I am loving this one..i know i say that about every new one that comes out, they are just all amazing.  Elisabeth Bell is one clever girl!!

Here is the card recipe;
Image - Emma's Gift of Love from EHA coloured with Promarkers
Papers - My Minds Eye, Papermania Kraft stack.
Dies - Spellbinders Grand Label 1
Embellishments - Flower from Wild Orchid Craft, Tulle, button and gems from my stash.

Here is another few views of the card. I am a bit tulle crazy at the moment. I really enjoy sitting cutting all the circles needed to make a lovely full rosette or flower. I find it relaxing if i am sitting watching the television and make a little pile of them so they are ready to use.

Cupcake Craftroom - Lots of Layers
Lia Stampz Challenge - Anything Goes

Elphine House Australia Challenge - Things with Wings

Hope your all had a good start to the week. Unfortunately the flu bug is still lingering about our house. I am on my second bout of it and Sean, my youngest Son, has been ill for nearly a whole week. He has had a temp of 39+. He has been miserable. I will tell you we have bought that much Ibuprofen/Calpol from Tesco that we have run them dry!!

Anyway just popping by with my Design Team card for the lastest Elphine House Australia Challenge.
The theme this time round is "Things With Wings"
As always you can enter with ANY Elisabeth Bell image from any company...eg EHA,                                                          Belles n Whistles, Whimsy, Elisabeth Bells Digi's..there are lots to choose from.
For my DT project i decorated a candle and also a card to give as a set.
For the candle i followed a tutorial i read a long time ago (cant remember where from) but it was very simple. using the image stamped and coloured onto tissue paper and wax paper to push the image into the hot wax.
My fairy is called "Fairy Faye, Make a Wish" from Elphine House Australia which i coloured with promarkers.
The papers are Isabelle from First Edition...they are very very pale pink these ones.
Flourish from Cheery Lynn, flowers from Wild Orchid Craft, Tulle bow, charm and punched butterflies all from my stash
Here is another few views of my candle and card. On the other side of the candle i have stamped "Thinking of You"
          I would like to enter my candle/card set into the following challenges;
Card Cupids - Wings
Stamptacular Sunday - Wings and Bling
Lets ink it Up - All Girls

That it for now. Please pop by our Elphine House Challenge blog to join in with our Things with Wings Challenge!
Have a great day!

Back on Track and Crafty Calendar Challenge!

 Well i am back at last! Its been probably not far off 2 weeks since i last posted. I have been one busy girl!
Yesterday was our Gala Day and Carrie was meant to be a flower girl. Unfortunately she took ill the night before and was not able for anything. She sobbed as we talked and i tried to get her ready but she just was not fit. Its been a really big build up to the Gala and we had bought her everything for her special day, her dress, tiara, shoes, outfit for a change later on but i dont care about the money spent, i am only disappointed that she couldnt have her special day. As most of you know Carrie has Auto Immune Liver Disease and is ill a lot because of this. She is on Immune Suppressants so has hardly any immune system to fight illness off. I thought we were going to get one of her better days but just our luck just is awful!
On a happier we had the house all decorated and Carrie gave us one smile as we got a certificate and £10 for third prize. We actually didnt put out most of the things we had planned to because it was heavy rain. Carrie was so happy with her certificate. She read it over and over!
I have told her once she is better we will get her friends down with their flower girl dresses on (all the primary 3 girls each year get to be the flower girls) and we will have a tea party with lots of fun and nice things to eat. The girls that did walk were soaked through with the rain and had ponchos over their dresses so no one could see them. Such a shame.

Ok end of rambling.. Today is start of new Crafty Calendar Challenge. The theme is Fun in the Sun with option sparkle and shine!
We were provided with images from our Sponsor, Robyns Fetish for this challenge. I chose to use "Shells for Sale". I wish that was me sitting on the beach!

I got my Grand Calibur at last so this is my first "Grand "card! I got it for a bargin price of £59.99 and not just that but with Moroccan Motives and Moroccan Accents!! What a bargin! It had been used a handful of times as the plates were perfect and the cutting plate only had 4 or 5 cutting marks on it.

I would like to enter into these challenges;
Totally Papercrafts - Here comes summer!
Little Red Wagon - Beach

Thats me for just now. Thanks for popping by and for reading my long post!
I am off to play with my new stamps from Elphine House Australia. These new stamps are so watch this space!
Take Care
