Fun in the Sun!

Hi, Hope you are having a lovely weekend. Its raining here today, its just miserable. Carrie has her friend have a sleep over last night. They were really good but giggled and giggled til quite late.
I had my hospital app on Thursday and my bloods are not so good. Since stopping the steroids everything is sliding back in the wrong direction. I was disappointed but expected that news as i am still not feeling any better. I get totally exhausted doing a tiny amount of housework, making dinner in fact i have been over to my mums once in the last 5 months. She only stays over the road!! Anyway i will get there..sometime! Thank God i have my crafting hobby or i would be going insane by now!!

Ok enough about that. Today i have a card with the cutest summer image. She is called "Janie in July" from Mo's Digital Pencil. There is just hundreds of images in her store and something for every occasion and more!

Feeling Peachy?

Hi, hope you all having a lovely week.
Well on Thursday past we added a little edition to our family....no cute cuddly animal....we got a snake! He is a Cornsnake and is just still a baby. We have called him Wally, as in Where's Wally, cos he can hide so well in his bedding. You have to go digging for him to get him out! Its totally fascinating in the way it moves around and when we fed him his mice on Saturday and we were all gob smacked by way he dislocated his jaw to get these mice in. The kids were standing with their mouths open!! Its one thing seeing it on the television or as pictures in a book but to see him do it right in front of us was just amazing.
Here he is...

Anyway onto my card. This was just made for fun. I love this digi from Mo Manning. She is called Peaches and a dream to colour.

Elphine House Australia Challenge - Distressed or Torn !

Good Morning! Well nearly afternoon and i am late with this post...should have been posted 11pm last night to fit in with the challenge going live in Australia but i had a SD card issue! My laptop would not recognise the SD card. In the end i had to get a new SD card then retake pictures and get them uploaded. By time i had done all this it was early hours of the morning and my head was buzzing. Anyway better late than never!

The new Elphine House Australia challenge is up and running and the theme this time round is ...
"Distressing or Torn Papers"
To enter the challenge you just need to use ANY Elisabeth Bell image from ANY of her collections..and there are a lot to choose from!
Elphine House have got so many gorgeous stamps you will be spoilt for choice. If you have not been on the EHA site then your missing out. Pop over and see for yourself!, you will love them all!

Here is my DT sample card. I am not a big fan of lots of distressing or torn paper so i have chosen to just distress the papers with Distress Inks.

This image is one of my favourites at the moment, she is callled "Carrie Thoughtful Breeze". Helen and Lew, who own EHA and also the most amazing couple, named this image after my daughter Carrie. There is now 4 stamps named after her...she thinks she is so famous and loves seeing "her stamps" around blogland.

Here is some more views of my card.

For this card i have used....
Papers MME and Tim Holtz Distressed Core-dinations in Walnut Stain and all inked in Walnut Stain distressed ink.
Dies/Punches - Marianne Design Flourishes, Fiskars Scalloped border and small butterfly punch.
Embellishments - Flowers from Wild Orchid Craft, Ribbon, lace, tulle and pearls from my ever expanding stash!
