Butterflies Flutter By!

I hope your having a great weekend so far. The weather is not just as good as it has been but its dry and hopefully the forecast for snow on Monday is wrong! One day we are basking in the sun, the next its to be so cold its to snow! British weather at its best!

I am here today with a card that i have made for the Belles n Whistles challenge of " Butterflies". I have used one of my favourite BnW stamps called "Patches n Braids" and coloured her with distress inks.
Butterflies are also the challenge at Samuel Taylors this month. I use the packs of smooth paper from Samuel Taylors to colour with my Promarkers. I first bought a few packs at the SECC hobbycrafts show and haven't looked back since!
I have also used my Cricut to cut the fancy frame. I have to be honest i have not used my Cricut no where as much i should do. Like most of us crafters i had  to have a cricut and it had to be the expression as at the time that was the latest version out and i also had to have lots of cartridges....and yes... i hardly use it! I have decided that i am going to use it much more and when i looked through the cartridges i have i found cuts that i didnt know i had! I bet we all have a few things that we must have that are only used as dust collectors!!

Anyway here is my card....

The winner of the challenge will win 2 Elphine House Australia stamps. If you have not been to the store yet you must hop on over to have a look, they are all gorgeous..as all Elisabeth Bell images are!!

On my card today i have used a very special stamp! This stamp was originally from the "Daisy Collection" by Elisabeth Bell and as we know EHA are bring us some of these stamps back. Well this stamp has made its way back but with a new name..She is called "Carrie on Trike"...
Helen and Lew, who own EHA, are the most lovely, generous couple ever and they have made one little girl a very happy....by re-naming this stamp after my daughter Carrie! This is the second stamp to be named after her.
The first one is is "Carrie Swan Princess" which you can see here. Carrie has Auto immune Liver Disease and had been unwell over Christmas so you can just imagine her little face when she received her very own stamp from the postman!!
She is so proud of her stamps and love being "a little bit famous"!! I found her the other day on google looking up the name of the stamps to see if there were any cards made using her stamps online!
Here she is with her two "Carrie" stamps!!

I want to say a great big "Thank You" to Helen and Lew, our DT's Mamma and Papa Bear,  for making Carrie feel so special and also for being so understanding and caring while i have been ill. It really means a lot to us!

Her is my card card recipe
